At least there is only ONE Catholic Church, not the THOUSANDS of different Protestant denominations.
Since all churches are filled with ordinary human beings, and human beings err, the human beings in the Church are therefore subject to sin and error...unless, for some obscure reason Catholic priests are supposed to be super human and never sin.
So, Jesus' choice of St. Peter as the first Vicar of Christ and our current Pope, the 266th papal leader since Peter, have formed an unbroken line of leadership-on-earth, Vicar-of-Christ. Not a bad record. Remember Peter denied Jesus THREE times...His choice for His earthly leader...THREE times.
Would Protestants accept one leader? We are ALL Christians! Just a question.
There is NOT “one Catholic Church,” at least not in practice. They are all over the board with their theology and policy, every bit as much as the numerous denominations of Protestantism.
Additionally, there are many “rites” within Catholicism that vary widely.
