“Institutional survival”...for which institution? Catholics who care most about Catholicism will not stand for this pseudo-ecumenical heresy. They will not leave the Church, but they will withhold money, for sure. And ZERO non-Catholics will be attracted to the Church. No, what is afoot is the diabolical destruction of the Catholic Church from within. If Pope Francis thinks he can impose this on the Church and we’ll just roll over and take it, he is mistaken. Pope Francis admires Luther, does he? Well, that’s good, because he’s about to see a version of the 95 Theses nailed to HIS front door...very, very soon.
Am being sincere when I write: my problem is not with Martin Luther; it’s with Pope Francis. I believe if Luther were to come back to earth in 2017, he’d be appalled by what Pope Francis is actually doing to the Catholic Church. There’s much more really going on than you read about in the MSM, and even than in most Catholic newspapers.
Just this morning I was reading a pamphlet by Luther called (in English) Against the Murderous, Thieving Hordes of Peasants (German title: Wider die Mordischen und Reubischen Rotten der Barren).
Atrocious.
I believe we are probably living in the Great Apostasy.

All the answers that you will get from the people you’re speaking to can be summed up in three words:
Because shut up.
In other words, hate for Lutherans is more important than everything else.
I just want the ELCA and the Romans to finish merging so that actual FAITHFUL Lutherans in the LCMS and WELS can stop getting lumped in with those apostates.
Has anyone considered that the pope may suffer from multiple personality disorder? /:-p
