That brought tears to my eyes. I couldn’t bring myself to watch election night coverage, but before I went to bed, I got down on my knees (doesn’t happen often) and prayed for a Trump victory. I specifically begged for God to give this country one more chance to serve Him and bring the nation back to what it was.
I don’t know much about the Bible, but this verse is exactly how I felt that night.
I’m so thankful. God bless Donald Trump.
Not only that, but the Bible will be turned to an important piece of scripture, 2 Chronicles 7:14:"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Oh, please. No.
This will play well in certain circles, but "My people, who are called by my name", is not the US of A. If so intended, this is an abuse of scripture. (It's also not the modern state of Israel, but that's a different argument.)
I believe he’s referring to Christians only when he says “My People”.
The modern state of Israel doesn’t apply either - yet, but soon enough they will post Ezekiel 38 IMO.
Thank the Lord that Trump, in picking Pence, didn’t make the one single mistake Ronald Reagan made — that is, picking an establishment Republican.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that the President’s second in command actually places his faith in God through His written word. God Bless you guys in the USA - my brothers and sisters you have stood firm in relying on God’s promises for yourselves and your country and no matter whether this is a small reprieve from the incessant onslaught of evil or a pivot point in the change of direction for future generations of Americans enjoy it for what it is - a gift from God Almighty.
Are you sure about that?
This verse is a reflection of who God is. So while it was addressed to a specific people, God didn’t change, so therefore it USA beautiful encapsulation of his heart towards all people.
I’m curious, what inside you make you wish to diminish this?
