Mike Pence Will Take the Oath With His Hand on 2 Chronicles in Reagan's Bible

Vice President-elect Mike Pence intends to send a message when he takes the oath of office on Friday afternoon, there can be no doubt about that.
When he is sworn in, his hand will be on a Bible that hasn't been used in 32 years—the Reagan family Bible used by President Ronald Reagan for all of his swearing-in ceremonies as president and governor. Not only that, but the Bible will be turned to an important piece of scripture, 2 Chronicles 7:14:
"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

That is absolutely fantastic. what a contrast to the last eight years. Back to Judeo-Christian ethics, a belief in God and right vs. wrong, good vs. evil. . our founding principles.

There are some Bible students out there who state this verse only pertains to Israel. I totally disagree.
You did well by doing what you did FRiend. The last 8 years did a number on me as well as I saw evil triumph over & over without an answer.
We all need to still be on our knees over God’s answer because this fight won’t end anytime soon.

Gods promises to Israel are also applicable to His adopted in Christ.
A lot of bible student want to over literalize God and completely dismiss his attributes and our adoption through Abraham promised to many nations through Jesus Christ.
I pray his people do turn back to him, in Israel and, here in the west.
It seems the world is on a reprieved status perhaps...for now.
