Somehow we did not have much discussion here on FR regarding the anti-Catholic emails, but the link above seems to do a decent job of pulling together the matter.

Was Pope Benedict forced to resign? It was quite shocking when he did, so perhaps there is more truth to it than we realize. Was Hillary’s biggest State Department coup, overthrowing the Vatican?

Look at the Podesta emails, review the BBC article, we know for a fact Clinton discussed ‘fixing the Church and bringing it into the modern world.’ The Pope’s own butler betrayed the Church by leaking investigative documents. Blackmail anyone?

IIRC, Vatican was excluded from SWIFT, and back online the day after BXVI resigned.

The whole Arab Spring fantasy was a State Department daydream. “Fundamental change” only comes when you destabilize prevailing order.
Yes, the US was a supporter of a Vatican Spring - and money was their tool of pressure.
