Jesus is praying for the people he is with, and states, "they pray unto me because I am with them."

It's not a commandment, but simply an event that took place when the Savior visited the American continent. Read it for yourself here.

Jesus sure spent a lot of time going back and forth between Heaven and Earth; didn't He!

I guess the bible must be mis-interpreted were Jesus is recorded as saying:

" “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

John 14:1-3

Did not Jesus say, ‘Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age’? (Matt. 28:20) So your ‘jesus’ is not omnipresent as He prophesied?
