I answered that. You didn't lik the answer, so now you persist in being a pest.

No. I asked you for your Biblical basis for such a, shall we say...systematized "answer."

Anyone can pull answers out of their hat, but I know YOUR Achilles Heel is you have to have SPECIFIC Biblical language to authorize anything you claim to stay within YOUR advertised authority.

As you've ONCE AGAIN, given an answer that not only sidesteps my real question, but misrepresents what my question was, I have to conclude duplicity is one of your fallback tactics.

The question I have been trying to get an answer to is whether or not I can lose my salvation after I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

To do that we have to start with how one is saved in the first place.

It appears that you are saying that accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior is not sufficient for my salvation and that my salvation must be proven by certain actions, namely the 10 proofs that you list.

Yes, your ‘proofs’ come from the bible, but I see nowhere that any of these must be fulfilled to prove my salvation. Where does it say that I must demonstrate any of the 10 criteria to prove my salvation or that I should listen to the advice of Dr. Fred Wittman?

This sounds like your personal interpretation of what it means to be saved, which is fine for you, but has no bearing on me or my salvation.

There is nothing in the bible that says anything about ‘alternative Jesus’ or misunderstanding Jesus. Jesus is Jesus. Jesus is God. I don’t think I can be any more clear about understanding in Whom I believe.

By my interpretation of scripture, I am saved.

“no man can say the Lord Jesus, but by the Holy Ghost.”
[1 Corinthians 12:3]

I proclaim Jesus as my Lord and Savior, proof enough that I am guided by the Holy Spirit.

Are you trying to say that despite all of this I am not saved? That my confidence that I am saved based on my own beliefs is not enough?

That one must adhere to certain criteria based on your and Dr. Fred Wittman’s interpretation of the bible in order to be saved?

That one can, despite biblical study, prayer, and guidance of the Holy Spirit be inadvertently following the ‘wrong’ Jesus, and therefore not be saved at all?

Love,
O2

Still?

I've seen many replies to you that say "YES!" as well as many that state "NO!!".

If you are possibly waiting for a 'maybe', then here it is; "MAYBE!!!".

Define "accept" so we can know if we understand each other.

There is nothing in the bible that says anything about ‘alternative Jesus’ or misunderstanding Jesus.

Despite your notes that claim I said something which I did not, and discrediting that which I did say, I quoted you exactly the verses 2 Cor. 11:3-4 which make that statement that you are ignoring, and I then parsed it for you.

Trying to get you to come to grips with Scriptural truth is figuratively like trying to wrestle a greased pig long enough to pin it down.

For example, If I had an unsaved person read the 1 Corinthians 12:3 verse aloud, he/she would say the words, "Jesus is Lord." These words are the inspired words of the Holy Spirit. By your interpretation then, that person would be instantly saved simply by reading those words aloud.

According to the way I interpret Scripture, your argument does not hold water.

There cannot be a perception of a Jesus without a gospel that portrays him; and as a matter of fact, it is indisputable that you have not literally accepted Jesus. What you accepted is a gospel story that was presented to you. If that gospel was the same true gospel Paul preached, with the identical Christ of the Bible Who formulated that gospel and ordained it to be set down by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and preached, then probably you were saved.

But if what was preached to you was another Jesus of the same kind, perforce his gospel would be one of a different kind, and the spirit by which it was inscribed would necessarily be another of a different kind as well. It would not be a saving gospel, and God would be the judge.

I would hope that the gospel you believed would be the true one. In that gospel you would be eternally saved by The God Whose works are perfectly accomplished.

But if by any sad and deplorable chance the gospel you believed was an imperfect one, then the Jesus it described could not be trustworthy either, and the spirit in which it was delivered could not save to the uttermost. It would be the spirit of the god of this world doing the deceiving, and you would still be lost, possibly forever, no matter how much you protested its value and performed its practices.

Each of us is strongly urged to examine oneself:

"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (2 Cor. 13:5 AV).

The only necessary and sufficient standard against which you must measure yourself is the faithfully translated Word of God, not any other human resource. It's between you and God, with writings inspired by Him giving the illumination.

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you" (Jn. 14:26 AV).

John, writing to the converts which he made, wrote this admonishment:

"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him" (1 Jn. 2:27 AV).

Your teachers must always point you to the Scriptures, and defer to them in all matters settling conflicted opinions, as I suggest you do in this matter.
