Wait till they see what paganism does. Then they will wish for a civil society again.

Even if it does more harm than good (it doesn’t), the mere fact is that what is said of God, sin, and damnation, those truths do not become untrue simply by wishes.

Jesus lived and started a religion with adherents who professed upside-down on the cross that he lived and died for us. If we believe him and keep his commandments we can be saved from the awful lake of fire that awaits those who are ready to swear to an upside-down world.

Given the fact that the Religion of Pieces has dominated the Western press for years it’s easy to understand such a result.Too bad those same people weren’t asked which religion(s) is/are the most harmful *and* what their political persuasion is (liberal,conservative.etc).

Certainly the world would be better off without any of the religions that demand piety or harm those that don’t follow it. Yeas, those retards enforcing their religion need to go away.

Otherwise, following what harms none is always a better path.

About 51 percent of respondents agreed that “religion does more harm in the world than good.”

The poll results could just as well have been 'About 51 percent of respondents agreed that “religion Humans do more harm in the world than good.” '

"Religion" is a very ill-defined, broad term to be using when conducting a survey. It could include Mother Teresa's mission, ISIS, Billy Graham and Beatles fans.

My main beef with organized religion is that evil people cloak themselves with it in order to gain access to good, trusting people.

I have become very leery of people who have a need to broadcast to others just how pious they are.

My relationship with Jesus is personal. Rarely do I tell others about it, though I will if I am close enough to that person.

Very sad when you realize that by percentage, Canada was more ‘Christian’ than the US at the start of the 20th century. A part of that was the fact that Canada was much more rural than the US (by %) at the turn of the century. In addition, Quebec, at the start of the 20th century, was over 100 years of isolating from the ‘maudit Anglais’, instead focusing on the RC church, so almost 100% church attendance in Quebec at that time. In general, rural populations tend to be more conservative and religious, so a higher % of Christians in Canada than the US 120 years ago, makes sense.

Too much immigration from 3rd world hellholes and too much trying to be ‘Euro-chic’ by our politicians and the ‘elites’ have made us in general, a country of atheists and non-Christians.

Yes, I'm sure government mandated atheism would be so much better and not kill, torture and enslave hundreds of millions of people.

They are absolutely correct. False religions do more harm than good. The real one is the only one that can help.
