Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Almighty and Everlasting Father,
How Glorious and Wonderful is Your Most Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship and Praise,
For You Alone Are The One True God,
Almighty and Eternal,
Glorious and Transcendent,
Rock of Ages,
Ancient of Days,
King of Kings,
and Lord of Lords!
Melt our hearts, Oh LORD,
And Give us hearts of Compassion.

We Pray For the Leaders of Our Own Beloved USA
May They Receive Wisdom from You
to do the Right Thing.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

At First Glance, this may look like a lesser replay of the Great Miracle of the red Sea Parting. It is, however, different in many respects:

1. The People. At the edge of the Red Sea, the people were escaped slaves, huddled together against the sea, with an advancing army about to annihilate them. They were fearful, disorganized, and needed to SEE the Sea part before they would venture into the gap. Crossing the Jordan was a whole new generation of People, organized, battle-ready, and victorious. They were more than a half-mile from the Ark of the Covenant, and probably could not even see the waters parting ahead (try to figure out what is going on with the car a half-mile ahead of you on the highway, and you will catch my drift! You just have to proceed in faith.) The Red Sea Generation were slaves, the Jordan Generation were a Nation.

2. Leadership Moses stretched out his staff, the waters parted, and the People passed through on dry land. Joshua, per instruction, had the Priests carry the Ark of the Covenant into the River, getting their feet wet, before the waters parted. The People, a half-mile back may or may not have seen the miracle until they arrived at the shore, but as Jesus said "Blessed is he who has not seen, but believes."(John 20:29)

3. The Ark of the Covenant and its Contents: The Ark Contained Three Items:

The Second Set of Stone Tablets Representing God's Law
The Pot of Manna representing God's Provision
The Budding Rod of Aaron representing God's Authority.

These Three Items said that Israel was a Nation, Under God, under the Rule of Law, with Liberty and Justice for all...(I know, I took that from somewhere...) and that This Nation, in Faith (because they couldn't see ahead, were trusting in God's Promise.

4. Motivation Simply put, At the Red Sea, the Israelites were fleeing out, and at the Jordan, they were Marching IN.

Today's passage is an inspiration to us all, to no longer look at obstacles as something to escape from, but as something to overcome, with God's help.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.
