“Treasures in heaven” has nothing to do with money. You can’t store your money in Heaven.
You can’t give money to God. He is not a storefront or a charity case. We give to the church.
The Lord loves a cheerful giver. That’s why we give. And Mt 6:2 says we give to the needy, not the wanty.
It begins with Galatians 6:6-8 (NASB)
The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption,
but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
