>>>So, some folks will be saved but “not saved enough” for the Rapture to take them.<<<
Exactly.
Luke 21:36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen.
Hence, some (believers) will not be on the watch and will not escape (the Tribulation).
If you read all of Luke 21 it seems to indicate that folks will see signs of the end times and all will see Jesus return - seems to be more of a warning to accept Christ so you can stand before Him rather than a “if you have been saved but haven’t been a good boy, in which case you have some extra suffering because you proved what God already proved - without the sacrifice of Jesus, none could be worthy of redemption....”
Luke 21:36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen.
20 And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near. 21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the middle of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath on this people.
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
The Return of the Son of Man
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near.
Spiritual kingdom.
But the son of man came in the clouds with power and great glory not only did the chosen ones of Jesus keep preaching but the more they were persecuted the more they preached.
and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
In 1948 the Jews were allowed to go back to their home land the times of the gentiles had been fulfilled.
Seems to me all of this is history.
