the FX network recently aired a 4 season long series called “the Strain”, based on three books. It was about a master vampire taking over the earth. It was a good program and had several interesting characters so I bought the books and read them to get some insight into the series.
The genesis of the vampire came from one of the angels that God had sent to S&G and he became corrupted by the sin. God destroyed him and scattered his body in 7 places across the earth. Each piece of the body regenerated into a vampire.
