Buy a piece of property and put up a monument.
Put whatever you want on it.
I am not sure what is so difficult to understand.

The Constitution says that government can't require a specific religion or keep people from choosing their own religion - nothing in it states/intends that nothing on government land/property can have any resemblance to any religion or that we have to cater to the Godless cretins who claim to be "offended and left out" in order to squash history and step on other's beliefs.

Compromising because others thing the Constitution is just a set of pliable suggestions is the sure path to destruction of the greatest Nation on God's green earth...

I am not sure what is so difficult to understand.

It’s not that I don’t understand.

But if what you wish to accomplish is to convey the commandments, I am telling you how to do that.

The way YOU want to do it doesn’t work. Period. You can be angry about the decision or you can change your tactics and achieve your goal.

The legal precedent is already set.

The 10 Commandments is not humanistic definition of religion, it is the rule book for humans who believe they have certain obligations to a “Creator.” This is what James Madison and those who drafted the First Amendment understood was the purpose of religious liberty. Humanism takes the emphasis from God-centered to man-centered. It says that everyone has a religion and God is not relevant in defining religion under the First Amendment. Hence, nontheistic creeds are considered religious.

A cross, in tribute to the fallen, is not the Commandments. Next thing, vampire movies will be on the "don't show" list because they use a cross too.

We all know that every inch they take is an inch not likely to be returned to the Freedom of the People and the Constitution. They found they can get pet "judges" to do anything to advance the Leftist ideology and when SCOTUS refuses a case like this, they are acceding to the Left.
