Newspaper Thrown at Francis: Pope Francis was pelted with a newspaper on Monday before celebrating Mass in Santiago del Chile while driving in his Papa Mobile. Users commented on Gloria.tv that he would have been better served with the Catechism or the text of the Dubia.
Send this out to the talkies (conservative talk shows)
What do you do when a dog poops in the church?
Bad Francis! Bad!
But it is utterly unacceptable to use any kind of physical force against him...to include throwing something, be it a newspaper, a shoe, a brick, a rotten tomato, or whatever.
Can. 1370 §1. A person who uses physical force against the Roman Pontiff incurs a latae sententiae excommunication reserved to the Apostolic See; if he is a cleric, another penalty, not excluding dismissal from the clerical state, can be added according to the gravity of the delict.
Too bad they didn’t hit him with a Bible instead. He might have learned something.
Not saying two wrongs make a right but is there a canon allowing one to slap some sense into a heretic?
/shrug
Not that I'm aware of. IIRC, Bishop Nicholas got into some trouble for b*tch-slapping Arius, and he was only a brother bishop, not the pope.
How can someone be pelted by a single object?
Bishop Nicholas Loses His Cool (At The Council of Nicaea)
The question is: Is Pope Francis a heretic?
Theyre seeing through Francis appalling hypocrisy. Odd that neither the bodyguard nor anybody else seemed to respond to this, though. I guess maybe nobody, even the hired hands, likes him down there.
Father forgive me, because this makes me smile.
Frank is a pedophile protecting piece of globalist garbage
LOL. Excellent movie!
“That kid gets no tip.”
NY Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, LA Times - all are way to the left of Pravda!
LOL, I forgot all about the scene...!!!
I recall they showed the ink swirling down the drain...OMG, too funny!
This godless commie scumbag needs to be pelted with something!
When a swatted my dog with the newspaper, I never thought of it as an attack. When the Iraqi reporter, al-Zaidi, threw shoes at Bush, was it reported as an attack?
Some reactions...
The Lebanese television channel NTV offered a job to al-Zaidi. NTV said that if al-Zaidi accepted the job offer, that he would be paid “from the moment the first shoe was thrown”
On December 15, 2008, al-Zaidi was given a bravery award by Libyan charity group Wa Attassimou.
Al-Zaidi has also been offered a six-door Mercedes, had a song written about him, had his incident reconstructed in an Afghan comedy sketch, and been the hand of a man’s 20-year-old daughter in marriage.vThe young woman Amal Saad Gumaa said she likes the idea of being attached to a man she finds so honorable.
The Turkish company believed to have made the shoes thrown at Bush, Ramazan Baydan, experienced a surge in sales. Orders for 300,000 pairs were received in one week. A Saudi businessman offered US$10 million to buy the shoes thrown by al-Zaidi.
A book was written on the event called “The Last Salute to President Bush”.
The world does not need a pope at all. The world needs Jesus Christ.
I believe I was the first person on Free Republic to say Frannie aint right!
Mark OMalley, who I believe is a devout Catholic, said it right.
Ebb Tide, another true believer, has done yeoman service to warn us to do no harm to the Church.
Pray for peace and truth.
