Just as with Obama, this social justice Pope’s legacy seems to be division and strife
If they’re thinking about excommunicating EWTN, then what to do with The Remnant, The Wanderer, Church Militant, etc.?
And when will this heretic pope fly the rainbow abomination flag over the Vatican?
Is the Remnant back, then? I thought they were firmly in Msgr. Lefebvre’s camp.
Of course allowing local parishes to make decisions is a way for very leftist parishes to break with more conservative bishoprics.
But now that some local church organizations are moving more toward than away from orthodoxy, the liberals in charge say "No way!"
It would really be nice to know exactly what Arroyo is supposed to be arguing against since Spadaro and his ilk refuse to make their positions clear.
Not Catholic, but I respect EWTN. The powers that be shouldn’t try to push it around.
The Remnant respects the SSPX but isn’t joined at the hip with them. They’re also tending to keep some distance since the current leader is making attempts at reconciling the SSPX with the Vatican that the Remnant views as undermining the original justification for the SSPX. There are also members of the SSPX that are splitting with the SSPX because of these talks.
the EWTN and Arroyo are a whole lot more popular, have a lot more support than Francis.
While I make no claims of understanding its implications, I have always suspected the fact that Benedict the XVI still lives is significant.
What person did Jesus ex-communicate? or censure? or prevent from partaking in communion with Him? Did he not sup with Judas His betrayer instead of having him thrown out? I can see calling out sin and naming names where there is a clear breaking of Gods Law but petty internal bickering should be beneath a Church’s hierarchy.
Arroyo is the only reported with the REAL news.
Arroyo—one of the best investigative reporters in the business—must be hitting close to home. So sorry, Spadaro, you can’t “interdict” a media company, and all this is going to do is make him and a whole lot of other people go after you harder.
Good grief. Such depressing news during Lent.
EWTN? Are you kidding me? Sheesh.
Mrs. Don-o, I’d appreciate some of your typical level-headedness on this development, if you aren’t off FR during Lent.
I’m at a loss myself; things seem to be getting crazy with at least some associated with Pope Francis.
So this is reserved to Benedict XVI, our true pope and Episcopal See?
I think that this is a very keen observation.
This makes the whole “loyalty to the person of Pope Francis” being pushed by him all the more alarming.
