(1)Jesus said, “And whensoever thou shooteth, thou shall grippeth the pistol firmly, but not too firmly, and arrangeth thy posture is the stance of Weaver.”

(2)”Double taps are permitted unto thee, but mag dumps are right out.

(3)”Remembereth the Four Commandments, and keep them holy.

(4)”Thine gun is always loaded. Even if thou think it not, it is still loaded. The Evil One is constantly at work in the this world, inserting rounds into thine pistol while ye glance away unaware.”

(5)”Whatsoever thou wants to destroy, thou shall point your point thy muzzle upon it. Thou shalt not cover with thy muzzle anything thou dost not want to destroy.”

(6)”Thou shall keepeth thy booger hook offeth the bang switch until ye is ready to fire.”

(7)”Know thy target as thy know thyself, and what lies beyond.”

(8)”Upon these rules hangs all the law.”

I would like to recommend “A Time to Kill - The Myth of Christian Pacifism”, by Greg Hopkins, to anyone interested in the biblical view of the defense of self and others. It is a book about decisions that every Christian needs to make, regardless of their personal view of firearms. The chief point is that none of us have the celestial authority to decide when our time on earth, or that of another innocent person, is up. To the contrary, we have a positive obligation to protect ourselves and others against evil. In the middle of an active shooter event, the perpetrator cannot be gently brought to Christ.

Hey, the boss ain't coming back unarmed to settle matters. No reason for us to be unarmed while we wait for him.

The Rider on the White Horse

11Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war. 12He has eyes like blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head. He has a name written on Him that only He Himself knows. 13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God.

14The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses. 15And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty. 16And He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh:

King of kings and Lord of lords.

Luke 22:36: “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”

Nothing irritates me more than a liberal “Christian” trying to defend their stance on how self-defense is un-biblical.

I’ve actually had discussions with Conservative Christians who have said we are “sinning” if we resist persecution, imprisonment, and death.

The devil sows confusion and he’s doing a good job with this issue.

No.

Luke 22:36
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Next question?

Since the weapons of Biblical Times consisted of Knives, Rocks, Spears, Bow and Arrow, and Lances, Let us look at how they are addressed in the Bible.

The first Murder (Cain vs. Abel) was probably achieved by using a rock. However, the Bible doesn’t even mention the weapon, but addresses Cain directly for the murder. Cain is the one who is punished. Rocks are not eliminated, controlled, or even blamed for the murder.

David slays Goliath with a rock, and is praised for it.

Swords are mentioned a LOT. They seem to be the weapon of choice. There is no restriction on the length or sharpness of a sword, nor on how fast its wielder can swing it. There are no restrictions on the number of swings per minute, not of the number of cuts permitted before the sword is considered “spent”. Good Guys use swords as well as bad guys. St. Paul speaks of being in submission to governing authorities, as they do not bear the sword in vain. Paul would have been appalled at the Broward Sheriff’s Department cowering behind their cars, weapons in hand. They WERE bearing the sword in vain!

Knives had no restrictions on length, although one plunged into the belly of a corpulent enemy king got lost in the rolls of fat. The assailant could have used a longer knife, but this one did the job.

Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, told His Disciples to go out and buy a sword, because they were going to need it. He didn’t mention that they would first have to go to an approved training program, get a background check, become licensed, and go to a special store to get these swords. And remember...Jesus lived in a country that was OCCUPIED by an oppressive foreign Power, and there were many laws in place. The Roman Empire was very efficient and organized, but they did not force people to get a License to Carry.

These are just superficial examples, but there is nothing in the Bible that even remotely suggests that it is in favor of gun control.

Although “He who lives by the sword will die by the sword” was said by Jesus Himself, He never suggested that swords be controlled by the government.

Probably just a ceremonial sword. (/sarcasm)

Well this past Sunday, the Gospel had Jesus do a little “house cleaning” at the Jewish Temple,in the 2nd Chapter of John’s Gospel. Plus Jesus was a bit on the angry side that day.
