You know, there’s whistle-blowing and I’m all for that. But the whole world is starting to sound like the National Enquirer or some movie mag these days. This guy - it’s good to expose that stuff. At the same time, he was part and parcel of it. Reminds me of the #Me Too (not) victims who profited from the Directors’ Couches, got the parts, and decades later, they turned ‘victim.’ You sort of cannot be both.
I believe he is an atheist and as such has never claimed to live a Christian life, so there is no hypocrisy there. His eternal soul may be another matter. I do believe that outing these priests is in the best interest of the Catholic faithful. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
