Well tbh, I wasn’t judging anyone. But it is critically important to understand the Gospel. Absolutely, salvation is a free gift, by grace through faith.

However, we must not give ourselves or others the idea that it all ends with calling on the name of the Lord. Jesus said, ‘If you love me, you will keep my commandments.’ James said, ‘Faith without works is dead.’

If I love—agape—you, Obama, or anybody else (and it must be EVERYBODY else) then I want you and them to have the truth. The truth is the full counsel of God, not just one verse in Romans.

When the Scripture says, ‘By their fruit you will know them,’ - that is a true statement. It doesn’t mean that by their fruit we will judge them, but it DOES mean that by their fruit we will know if they’re in spiritual trouble or not. Iow, how can we help those in spiritual jeopardy if we don’t know who they are?

Even though this is OT, the principle still applies. If we know the truth, it is our responsibility to share it:

Ezekiel 3:

18 When I say to the wicked, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.

19 Yet if you have warned the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered yourself.

When you say Obama is not a Christian, you most certainly are judging him. You may say things like he’s not acting like a Christian or not glorifying the Lord, stuff like that. That’s judging ACTIONS which is fine, which is what the book of James is also all about. But your statements judge the man himself, and that is reserved for God only, not you and I.

You need to familiarize yourself with the New Covenant of grace found in Jer. 31:33, Hebrews 8:10-13; 10:16-17, which has REPLACED the Old Covenant which is declared “old and vanished” (Heb 8:13). The Old Covenant of the law has been replaced by the New Covenant of the gospel of the grace of Christ. Once you’ve received Jesus, God promises never to remember your sins.

Those who try to shoehorn the law back into the gospel of the grace of Christ are in danger of a double curse (Gal. 1:6-9). God is very jealous of the perfect sacrifice of Christ by whose blood we are sanctified , “ONCE FOR ALL” (Heb 10:10). Man never has, cannot now, and never will be able to keep the law. The law was given not to be kept but to show man his need for Christ (Gal. 3:24).
