This false prophetess needs to read the Bible. Leviticus 19:28 is still in effect. (Hebrews 9 indicates which ordinances are no longer in effect.)

The only one who may mark our bodies is the Lord himself. The beast will mark those who swear fealty to him and they will earn damnation in so doing.

Jesus often tells us we should keep his commandments. And Paul also echoes this.

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)
"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." (1 John 5:3)

Thank you for this. The Bible literate should already know this. I don’t know who this Joyce Meyer is but she might include the Bible in her reading library instead of Cosmopolitan or whatever tabloid is in the checkout line.

Here are more verses where Jesus tells us to obey his commandments:

John 14:21 "Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him."
John 14:23 'Jesus replied, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him.:'
John 15:10 "If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and remain in His love."

And Jesus himself will write his name upon us.

Revelation 22:3 "And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads."
Revelation 3:12 "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name."
This is the same books which describes what will happen to those who take another mark.
