Sorry, I just got that info from the media but you are right, the media likes to put forth fake news today. What do you mean, he was quoting an atheist?

Neither Frank nor the Holy See have issued a clear denial. The Vatican did issue one of its famous non-denial denials. But the bottom line is nobody has stated that Frank was misquoted. They said he might not have been quoted accurately which is a looong way from a denial. And if the Pope was accused of uttering heresy and it was a false accusation I have no doubt that they would have been as clear as distilled water in their denial. And this is not the first time it has been claimed that he holds these views.
