Years ago I went to a friend's high school graduation. It wasn't long after the 500th anniversary of Columbus landing in America. The school's mascot was an Indian chief.

The valedictorian, this girl with a head filled with mush, used her speech to vilify white Americans and how evil those Christians were who exploited the Indians.

It was the first time I ever heard booing from the audience at a graduation.
