The problem is the population.

While that is certainly true today, it doesn't mean that with God's hand it can't be changed literally overnight.

While I am always skeptical of prophets and their prophecies, I can't discount them totally. Thus I adopt a wait & see stance. This one does not require a long time frame to garner the answer. Since he has been so specific his accuracy must at least be in the 90% range I would say though. After all, there have been prophets over the years who have had accurate prophecies. Starting from ancient times up to the modern era. Some recognized, while many more were not.

If he’s a true prophet, 90% isn’t good enough.

It MUST BE 100%.

If it’s not 100%, then he is a false prophet.

90% accuracy is not good enough. The biblical standard is 100% if God has given a prophecy it will be fulfilled 100% to the smallest detail. If not it is a false prophecy. The penalty for false prophets is death. Prophecy is a serious thing.
