Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Everlasting Father,
How Hallowed is Your Most Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship and Praise,
For You Alone Are The One True God,
Almighty and Eternal,
Rock of Ages,
Ancient of Days,
King of Kings,
and Lord of Lords!

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Leaders of Our Nation,
May They Be Inspired and Led By You,
And Please Guide Them in All Things.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Because of the huge expense of funerals these days, many people have opted to buy their cemetery plot in advance, and pre-pay some or all of the costs associated with their own funerals. Of course, if you pay for it yourself, you get to "call the shots" too. However, I learned that owning a cemetery plot or having pre-paid funeral costs is considered an "Asset" when applying for some kinds of government assistance. It is obviously not a LIQUID asset, because you can't "sell it back" or borrow against it, but there ya go.

Back in the First Century, there was a similar plan. A very expensive perfume called "nard" was used to anoint the dead. People saved up to get this expensive item, and then reserved it for their own anointing when the time came. Who knows how long this woman had worked to get this bottle of nard, or how long she had safely held on to it before she poured it all onto Jesus. The value of the oil was obvious, and the disciples were indignant. "It could have been sold to feed the poor!" is such a familiar tune that we all recognize it as the most blatant self-righteous, sanctimonious, "Virtue Signaling" statement around.

The same kind of statement was uttered by Judas when a similar incident is related in the Gospel of John.

In both incidents, Jesus rebukes the Disciples and commends the woman. He says that, whenever the Gospel is preached, she will be remembered for her devotion. And, sure enough, we DO remember her!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance..” Psalm 33 NASB

God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
