Glad to hear about this book. As someone who grew up in SF, I can confirm that people I know have been talking about this subject for years. There has been an Orwellian memory-holing of the fact that Jim Jones was extremely close to many prominent Democrat politicians. I remember hearing years ago that Mayor Moscone basically owed his election to voter fraud perpetrated by the JIm Jones and his countless disciples/cult members who voted early and often all over down.

Thanks for the explanation. I did get about ham radio but the rest is/was fuzzy. It's late but it's there in writing. I'll read it again. And I had trouble coding the stamp link and got sloppy in part of it with grammar. Oh well. And I even did a spell check which I usually don't like to bother with.

I read RAVEN. Jones was no “fundamentalist” Christian, he was a relativist-materialist, capital-C Communist who was desperate to receive help from the USSR as the camp’s controllers started to lose control of themselves their prisoners, and their image down in Guyana.
