The paper can write its own headlines but it shouldn't put things in quotes if they aren't direct quotations.

That's two "Conservative Christians," one presented as a direct quote when it wasn't a phrase the pope actually used.

What he meant and didn't mean by "rigidity" wasn't spelled out so clearly. I've no doubt that he's some kind of liberal, but what that means in real world terms isn't always well defined.
