Maybe they could put fences with spikes on top around monuments and statues?

It would be ugly, but put fences with concertina wire on top around these locations?

Perhaps have some guard dogs living at these locations?

Put the statue back and post a small sign next to it with a pictures of a few old Mafia hits...

The sign should read:

“PLEASE DO NOT VANDALIZE THIS STATUE”

In 1888 a monument was erected in the marina at Hudson Point to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of New Rochelle...named for La Rochelle in France... In 1938 for the 250th a plaque listing the 151 family names of the first Huguenot families who were the founders was added... At least 5 of the names are my ancestors... Badeau, Jandron (Gendron), Mabille, Parcot, Sicard... Some time after an ugly iron fence was placed around the monument for some reason...

I’ve often proposed German Shepherds on duty free-range for protecting graveyards.

Put a fence around monuments and a dog house, and certain demographics won’t dare because they’re terrified of them.
