Could that not be now?

Could be. Could, not be. As Jesus said, "for ye know not when the time is."

Luke 19:44, ". . and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation."

The problem with all your responses is that you take past warnings, where timelines were given, and apply it to an event where Jesus specifically said it would come at a time we won't expect. The Jews were expected to know the time of Jesus's visitation. Daniel's prophecy was so specific, the Jews should have known the exact day of Christ's visitation. But in reference to Christ's second coming, Jesus said we WON'T know the day.

Christians are supposed to be watching regardless of the signs appearing in their lifetime.

Correct.

Further, we live through the WRATH of Satan (which is sometimes labeled the Tribulation); we are raptured (caught up) before the WRATH of God which is Christ’s return. There is no life continuing after Christ’s return. All the elements burn with a fervent heat.

Take another look at Luke 19:44 and its context. I do not believe your interpretation lends itself to current cicumstances in which Jesus in Matthew 24 indicates that by watching and praying and identifying plain-literal signs occurring temporally, one can, is able to know if the time for Jesus' Second Appearance is imminent; a circumstantial condition in which He promises to appear twice, once for His Own, and after a brief period of massive upsets on earth are over, then with His Own to institute His Kingdom of Righteousness and Peace.

The passage that you refer to in Luke has no bearing on our time in history nor on His Second Coming to establish the Earth as His Domain.

Luke 19:41-44 (AV):

41And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,  42Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.  43For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,  44And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
This above text of the KJV give a better rendering of the Greek. What you claimed Jesus to say, and the import you have tried to adduce from the verse, are not correct at all.

As Jesus said, "for ye know not when the time is."

Jesus was not speaking to or of people in general as shown in verse 44 of the Authorized version. "Thee," "thou," "thy," and "thine" are correct grammatic translations of the Greek pronoun in the second person singular referring to Jerusalem, itself a figure of speech--a metonymy (click here)--representing the inhabitants and operations of Jerusalem. Jesus' prophecy concerns the arrival of the Roman Army with the mission of destroying the city and its temple, whose inhabitants and attendants were in rebellion, no longer to be tolerated.

The event is known by every practicing Jew as "Tish b'Av," and occurred in 70 A. D., never to happen again.

I believe that you have read into Scripture something not there, or even implied by it. Perhaps your ability to grasp the meaning of Bible passages would be benefitted by at least informal instruction in the science of interpretation by someone who has had training in it.

Let me suggest a book for your perusal:

"Here's How The Bible Can Make Sense to You Today!" (click here)

In the future, be a little less hasty to reprove with something like:

But in reference to Christ's second coming, Jesus said we WON'T know the day.

to someone who might know what he is talking about. As I said previously, we might not know the prcise time right dowm to the day or hour, but it is quite likely that careful observation and advice from the Spirit in prater and the Word in writing, we might be allowed to sense the year and even the season of the year that He might be very likely to appear.

Song of Solomon 2:10-13 (AV):

10My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.  11For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;  12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;  13The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
The Rapture? The Harpadzo?

Jesus coming in the clouds for His Bride?

Herbert W Armstrong, of the WorldWide Church of God, published a tract predicting when the end times were going to end. His title was, “1974 in Prophecy.” If it happened, I missed it, but not much.

I was somewhat caught up in the “last days” teaching; a lot of people and spend their energy on that. Some focus on the rapture, some on Armageddon, etc. For the huge number of people who have focused on that for, maybe, the last hundred years, not one has proposed a harmony of all the end-time events found in scripture.

So, the question is: Will my salvation depend on my correctly understanding the last days? Don’t understand it, go to hell; understand it, welcome to heaven?

So you get flamed for citing the appropriate verse and not prioritizing the end times over the salvation of your soul.

One correction to your excellent post:

"The last Jubilee year was 2017 I believe"

I am quite pleased to inform you that 2021-2022 is the year of jubilee. =)

I was under the assumption that the 1967 war was Jubilee and 1967 +50 = 2017. Plus Trump brought the Embassy to Jerusalem in a Jubilee year I thought.

Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

2Ki 2:11 Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Luk 24:51 Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

1Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Rev 11:11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

Rev 11:12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

Rev 14:3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.

We don't learn what happened to the 144,000, but they are in Heaven at this point and are Redeemed. Did they die or were they Raptured?

..."Will my salvation depend on my correctly understanding the last days?"...

Salvation is not dependent on anything but God. You can't be pried out of His hand. But Salvation and Rapture are 2 separate things. There are many references to Jesus saying to prospects of the Rapture "I never knew you". You will be judged worthy or not When He calls you.

Luk 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Basically if you are judged worthy to go in the Rapture, you will miss certain death by the Antichrist. You will be required to die for Christ during this time. If you decide to take the Mark, you will LOSE your Salvation because you were never saved. If you choose Christ over the mark of the Beast, you will be saved and get your white robe.

Rev 6:9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.

Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"

Rev 6:11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

The Bibles tells us to "Watch" over and over. What are we watching for? When are we supposed to watch? You have to read and study to understand what we are even discussing in this post. You need to have a Jewish point of view and understand Jewish culture and Law. Most Christians have less than none. You must study the Feast Days in Leviticus 23. Forget Easter and Christmas as nothing Biblical happened on those days. The reason the Bible was written like it is is to get people that love the Lord to study for themselves. If you don't care or think the Holy Spirit should have written it for English speaking Gentiles, well, you can sit back and hope for the best. There are basics that Christians need to learn to even read the Bible as it was written. Trees are men, women are churches or denominations, water is words, beasts of the field or birds of the air are demons, 7 is God's number and 6 is man's number and 40 is complete testing. A stone or rock is ALWAYS Jesus, never a man! Brass speaks of Judgement and iron speaks of force. There are 1000 more like these to learn. It's a lifetime of study like this that most don't want to invest the time. They are the "lukewarm". They are the "foolish virgins". They don't have "eyes to see or ears to hear". Look those up and see what God thinks of those people. There are those that are obsessed with God and those that aren't. Jesus will marry those obsessed with Him. The others, not so much. Why would you marry a wife that didn't even care to know anything about you?

The cycles have been interrupted and restarted several times, however the shmita cycles seem to have continued, and, coincidentally, the shmita cycles of 7 match the seven cycles of seven for jubilee.

So it depends who's count we use, and there are several. I guess no one knows the day or the hour then. Therefore I'm going with the one I like the best, which is September 6th or 7th of this year.

See you in the air!

Reminds me of the years I spent trying to figure out an easy way to pick the winners at greyhound racing, hundreds of spreadsheets correlating every racing program data point I could find. Everytime I thought i had nailed it where simulated betting would turn a tiny profit over a series of racing night’s inevitably a night would come along where everything went wrong and my meager winnings would be wiped out and I’d be deeply in the red. Finally figured out the track could be beat but there was no easy way to do it. It would take more time and dedication than I was willing to invest. Similarly this gentleman’s quest to pin down the rapture date will run into the same problem. No matter how he bends and twists scripture to produce a date just one contradictory prophecy will reduce it to nonsense.
