Is it really folklore? I thought the Bible and other writings say Lucifer is the crux of all that is bad. This is an example of why I don't believe in organized religion. Who has it correct? Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, the Vikings?
To me they all have a different take and is a mishmash of ancient writings when humans thought the world was flat, the Sun revolved around the Earth, and natural disasters were caused by their god or gods for made up reasons.
I am a Deist. I believe something threw out the dice with certain physical laws in place just to see what would develop. Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison and Monroe—practiced a faith called Deism. Deism is a philosophical belief in human reason as a reliable means of solving social and political problems.
The above said, I believe Jesus Christ existed and was probably the best person to ever walk this rock.
