A local pastor says that the unprovoked attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists is a fulfillment of scripture, ushering in the end time.
He did not want to be named since he says it is a sensitive topic for many denominations, not just in Solomon Islands but the World.
The local pastor leads a sizeable congregation in Honiara, and is calling on Christians to pray for Israel, and to prepare their families spiritually.
“This is a once in a generation war, and if you look at the scriptures this was predicted thousands of years ago. This war will usher in the end times, and very soon the antichrist will show himself, all the signs are there.
“There will be a peace treaty, because that is the only way this war will end, and that is when the antichrist will take center stage, he will lead negotiations and will appear as the peace maker.
“But that is a mask, and it will be over in 7 years when he will show his true colors, so we must be ready.”

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father”
That is a reference to the exact day/hour when Jesus will Return for His Church.
We are also exhorted this in Luke 21:28
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Jesus noted we who are watching events unfold will know the season - not the day.

Well, it was THEIR end time, anyway. So I say it’s good to prepare like it will be your OWN end time, but also prepare to go to work or take care of family tomorrow as though you’ll still be around and needed for a while. You can’t call in to work with End Times as an excuse.

That is what I think also, no one will know when it is, so all these predictions throughout history are vanity and ignoring what the bible says.

The end certainly is closer, but we are to use the bible as our guide to the faith. There are predictions in the bible that make me think we are closer, but I don’t see that this present conflict with Hamas necessarily aligns with any particular trigger leading to the last 7 years.

The “future” may be a thing in flux — NOT precisely defined yet.
If you give any credence to the so-called “Akashic Record,” idea, then a body of evolving, unfinished total knowledge could exist — and we poor humans MAY catch a very small glimpse into it, rarely and unreliaby.
Since, through a thing sometimes called “Macro Quantum” effects, we (humans) may be a collective of mass creative “imaginists,” literally thinking up the “future” as we roll along.
That could be why it’s so difficult to predict the future — it’s an as-yet incompletly defined still-moving target

The antichrist is an impostor. That being said, I believe the antichrist will be 30 years old when he rises on his (public ministry of falsehoods)
Jesus was 33 1/2 when Crucified.
If we see the stage being set for a one world government (insert WEF and club of Rome-division of globe into 10 regions)
A one world currency (we see the dollar about to be decimated as the world currency and we are also witnessing many alternatives to replace the dollar by means of cashless means. The technology is here to implement the mark of the beast.
A one world religion. We are witnessing the persecution of Christians and Jews by evil alternative such as Islam. And their prophecy expects the rise of their mahdi (spelling?)
If we see the stage being set to fulfill the events during the “Day of darkness”, How much closer we must be to that Trumpet?
All that being said, a good end times movie based on “one day as a thousand”...

I believe the Rapture could precede the Day of the Lord by a few years, give or take.

But no one here is predicting the day or hour.
However, when the disciples asked Jesus for the signs of His imminent return in Matthew 23, He GAVE IT TO THEM.
It is possible to read the signs of the age. If we weren’t to know, Jesus would not have told us what to watch for.

It’s obvious the end is near. If you’re not a Christian you will miss the rapture. I do believe things will get worse before the Lord comes for His church. But for the tribulation, which will be hell on earth Christians will not be here for that.
He gave them the signs for the destruction of Jerusalem. As far as His return, He spent the second half of Matthew 24 and Matthew 25 telling them that no one knows when the second coming would be.
Everything before Matthew 24:34 Jesus places within their generation:
“Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.”
Up to that verse He has been giving them signs to watch out for. But when you get to Matthew 24:35, He says:
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”
