I'd like to request prayer for my mother. She is 88, in declining health, and has extreme dementia. I got a text from my sister saying she also now has a urinary tract infection. My father went through almost the exact same thing in the weeks prior to his passing. I know her time is short and I only ask for her to be able to slip quietly and peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She claimed Christ as her Savior before her mind started to go so I have to believe I will see her in Heaven some day, as well as my father.
Thank you.
God, thank you for being with us right now.
We confess that we don t understand why things happen the way they do.
We don t understand why illness comes into our lives, but we do know that you walk every path of life with us.
I know that you are walking with us right now.
Remind us that you love us, no matter what we go through.
Give us strength as we care for our loved ones.
God, we thank you that you never leave us, that you never forsake us, but you love us.
We trust you, and pray in your name.
Amen.

Our prayers for peace and the comfort of the Holy Spirit for your mother and you.
Thank you to all you for your prayers. I felt a great wave of emotion a bit earlier and had to cry. Now I know why. Again, thank you, and God bless you all.
Prayers for your dear sweet mother.
Prayers sent for your mom and family. God bless you.
Prayers for comfort and peace during this trying time, in Jesus name.
Prayers up!!
A good long life.
I’ll pray for a quick and painless passing.
Praise God that she knows Jesus and you will be reunited with her in heaven, never having to suffer again.
Revelation 21:3-4 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Prayers up for your mom. I dealt with the same situation in 2019 with my 89 year old mom. I appreciate how difficult the “process” can be.
I will say a prayer for you and yours as well. Get some sleep.
Praying. You will see her again, and she will be in perfect health and gloriously joyful.
My prayers are with you all.
After 10 years with dementia my husband breathed his last as his children and I sang “For All the Saints” to him. I had told him it was OK for him to go Home, that he had taken good care of us and we were going to be OK. It sort of seemed like that was what he was waiting for.
It was a year ago but it’s still a bittersweet memory.
I think God gives special grace so that as we die, we understand. May it just be love you share together at the end - God’s love and the love you have for each other. That’s really all our life here is about anyway.
You have my prayers also. My husband was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a UTI...He had dementia and I had to call 911 because I couldn’t keep him in bed - he couldn’t get out of the hospital bed and was on oxygen 24/7- rattled the side rail of the hospital bed and wouldn’t allow me to give him his medication that hospice left for me to give him when he was agitated - grabbed my arms and wouldn’t let go. UTI was never thought of but I learned later that behavior is manifested in men with that behavior and not in pain like we women.
The paramedics didn’t have any luck with him either - he didn’t like the color of their uniforms. He called them “communists.” He would have called them that even in his right mind if he didn’t like their politics..LOL
They tried for 30 minutes to calm him down and then said they had no choice but to take him to the hospital. It was 1 am by then. The UTI was diagnosed and he never came home again but passed away 10 days later when he was released to a nursing home DBA assisted care...under the care of hospice which I’ve given my opinion of on here already..
I’ve never heard anyone explain why UTI’s seem to be prominent in bedridden patients....I’m assuming your mom is bedridden...
It’s a tough row for everyone regardless.
Best wishes and prayers for you, your mom and your family. How do people get by without faith and prayers?
Prayers up
Father God,
Merciful and loving Savior Almighty,
Ease the way for your servant, and give comfort and stamina to her caring family.
May her days, so subdued in this life, be inwardly glorious
as she awaits her reward in due time to come.
Dearest Lord, make Your Presence and guidance known
to all who love and care for her.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen!
I pray that God takes her quietly.
“”It was a year ago but it’s still a bittersweet memory.””
Yes, one that will stay with us always...my husband passed away 3 years ago next week...
I thin it has to do with incontinence and/or the inability to care for one’s hygiene.
Prayers lifting Friend, for you and your Mom.
Heavenly Father, please hear us.
Tatt
Prayers on the way.
