From the Litany for the Dead:
O God of spirits, and of all flesh, Who hast trampled down Death, and overthrown the Devil, and given life unto thy world: Do Thou, the same Lord, give rest to the soul of Thy departed servant in a place of brightness, a place of verdure, a place of repose, whence all sickness, sorrow and sighing have fled away. Pardon every transgression which he hath committed, whether by word, or deed, or thought. For Thou art a good God, and lovest mankind; because there is no man who liveth and sinneth not: for Thou only art without sin, and Thy righteousness is to all eternity, and Thy word is true.

And about 300 posts later Catholicguy gets round to noticing I'd commented from the side-lines of the Augustinian vs. Augustinian slug-fest.
No thanks. If I had any hope of making you Latins and protestants see you are really two sides of the same coin, I'd have stayed on the thread.

Good Grace bump!

Thank you for putting forth the truth. I, too. have received these private emails and it is not fun.
We must continue to pray for their souls, however. And pray that they do see the light.

Thought for the Day
Since Christ Himself has said, "This is My Body" who shall dare to doubt that It is His Body?
-- St Cyril of Jerusalem
To: Salvation
Romans 10
2, For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3, Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. 4, Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. 5, Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." 6, But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' " (that is, to bring Christ down) 7, "or 'Who will descend into the deep?' " (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8, But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9, That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

BUMP
Don't mind me, I'm just passing through and bumping all the past Sapphires posts (one per day), because good solid teaching never grows old, it just becomes more relevant. God Bless!

My Condolences for having to debate with a lunatic like "The Doc." I read his little diatribe on your profile, you are doing something right. Keep up the good work and God Bless you.
P.S. You are quite right, you and I know it, so does Christ.
