I believe in the Eucharist, because Our Lord said:"THIS IS MY BODY and taking the goodly chalice in His Hands, said:THIS IS MY BLOOD."(Not this is a symbol). His word is good enough for me!

If you read John 6 I don't see how you can argue with this. Besides, this was the practice of the ancient Church of those Christians who lived nearest in time to Christ.

You must be a Bible-believing Christian.

Thanks for the post. Many may not know that Scott Hahn was dean (I believe that was his post) of a Presbyterian Seminary who set out to prove by scripture that Catholics were wrong. As he studied the scriptures and the writings of the early fathers of the church, his mind was opened by the Holy Spirit. As much as he tried to fight it, he became a believer. His search for truth brought him to the Church Jesus Christ instituted, and to Simon, who Jesus renamed as Peter when he said "You are PETER (petra=translated as Rock), and upon this Rock I will build my Church". My hope and prayer is that those who love Jesus as Lord and Savior will do as Scott Hahn did,and honestly search for and be open to the truth...that they put aside the prejudices that may have been engrained in their minds by teachers, following men "who's ideas Tickled their ears", as they rebelled against the authority given by Jesus to Peter and his successors in the Catholic Church, and splintered the Body of Christ into so many different "Man made" denominations. Their love of Jesus is unquestioned, but they are truly missing out on the true Passover banquet by refusing to believe the words of Jesus in the sixth chapter of John.

There is so much written about the REAL PRESENCE of Christ in the Eucharist (Transubstantiation) by the early Fathers, one wonders how anyone, who studies Church history with an open mind and heart to the truth, can miss the consistent teaching.

Thought for the Day
Since Christ Himself has said, "This is My Body" who shall dare to doubt that It is His Body?
