Thanks. The problems get worse and worse and worse.
Maybe Bernie cardinal Law can react with the speed and severity that he applied to Father Alphonse Capone.
If he can't do anything about Catholic Charities, Who Can?

This wouldn't happen if they allowed priests to marry (thought I'd save you the trouble, sinkspur ; )

respectable gay organizations have always opposed pedophilia I find this statement to be illogical and deceptive, much as most homosexual organizations agendas... These organizations want to recruit young boys for their sexual pleasure.

Oxymoron is being too easy on them. They seek to decieve and lie to gain more members and sympathizers.

The Project is still a lifeline for many and the anecdotal evidence given here is no reason to assume it is run the same way in every Diocese.
Correct, but neither can we assume that because something is run by "Catholics", that it exhibits a Biblical world-view.
As with everything else, we should closely look into how a ministry is run, (and by whom).
Never could I have believed that Catholics would (knowingly) employ people whose actions went starkly against the teachings of the church.

"Project Rachel is a magnificent ministry."
But it is not the only one, although it's the only one that uses pro-abort couselors!

"Their manner of speaking and word choice gives away their religious affiliations."
Wow, you are almost hysterical.
THAT is why some Protestant denominations look at us askance.
It is a sad day when one cannot stomach some honest questioning.

And BTW - this "bashing" behind ones back is rather childish.
You comment on something I said, but you don't direct it at me.
What are you afraid of?

She added that Brown is extremely qualified for the job and Catholic Charities "does not grill people" about things they do on their own time. Would that hold true if the things a person does on his own time included pedophilia?
Damn straight! We have a complete and total right to privacy from everybody! </SARCASM>

I doubt that the Catholic Church actively condoned it; rather, they tried to keep it under the rug. No matter how much the "mainstream" media hate the Catholic Church, they are spot on if and when they condemn the coverup.
To: Khepera
Well, I'm sure Catholics for a Free Choice (gag) cares about this exposure. :-)
To: Khepera; log_cabin_gop_boy
respectable gay organizations would be an oxymoron If I ever heard one.Well, if I ever hear of one actively condemning the presence of NAMBLA in gay pride parades, I'll consider it at least semi-respectable.

From the website:
http://www.orboston.org/
Last night saw about 17 pro-lifers in front of the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA to protest the employment of Howard Brown, Planned Parenthood "escort," as a counselor at Catholic Charities. The event at the Hawthorne was a fundraiser for Catholic Charities. Some who appeared to be Catholic Charities employees were visibly upset by our presence, while other attendees displayed agreement with our cause. There is an unconfirmed report that Mr. Brown has been given his notice, and that he will soon be laid off but similar reports in recent months have proven fruitless.

Isn't it ironic that Catholic University and Catholic Charities are Catholic in name only? These organizations have been infiltrated by the Culture of Death and must be defunded.
To: log_cabin_gop_boy
Actually, the respectable gay organizations have always opposed pedophilia
That's a funny turn of phrase. It's a wonder other vices don't have 'respectable organizations' as well.
To: log_cabin_gop_boy
I'm sorry I ripped you in an earlier thread. Quite uncharitable of me. Considering you say you are a Catholic, and must therefore know that you are publicly dissenting from the Church's teachings, I hope you will visit this web site:
Homosexuality and Hope: A Report of the Catholic Medical Association
And please also be aware that our true identities are not the sum of all our vices. If the Father of Lies has deceived you into believing such, I pray that He who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life might enlighten you.

I am not sure if this will be good news or bad news. But I pray that souls are not lost due to the recent scandals.
