My father remains in ICU, today he experienced new muscle spasms in his back around the area of the surgery. These were extremely painful. He has been given something new that has eased the spasms. I thank all of you for praying for him. And I thank those of you who have reminded me to be careful about my own health as well as my mother's.

Today I had the greatest privilege to be present as my mother sang old Irish songs to my father. Some I've never heard before. The young Irish nurse Eileen was there and she came in and stood beside me as tears ran down both our faces. There was evidence of love like you hardly see any more. I seem to be moved to tears all the time recently, but I also feel the Holy Spirit has been very near. Again, Christ bless each one of you for your prayers and your care.

I think I would have cried if I had been there! My grandparents spoke fluent gaelic.

My prayers are with your father as always.

This is OK, part of the grieving process.

We continue to pray for history_matters.
