".Mother Teresa to Fr. Rutledge on sadness of receiving Eucharist in hand"Mother Teresa, God rest your soul, and Fr. Rutledge. Wouldn't it be more respectful to cusp one's hands in a manner as to make a 'throne' to receive the Holy Eucharist adoringly rather than receiving by tongue....In Sir.28, 12-26 is this not what the tongue is capable of doing?

In Sir.28, 12-26 is this not what the tongue is capable of doing? How about a dissertation on what the hand is capable of? Would you make the same argument to St. Thomas Aquinas and attempt to refute Summa Theologica?

Find a Latin Mass and you won't get into any confrontations like that in the House of God, where it does not belong.

Tiki, every time I see one of your posts,i go into a fit of laughing remembering your description of your priest with the old bathtub and the pump that out bellowed the organ. And then I think of you and the other couple running into him at breakfast and how anxious he was to hear how you liked it.How you kept your composure is beyond me.
How is Father and font these days?

Funny you should ask. It was finally taken down last week and we now have a beautiful, framed picture of the Divine Mercy in its place. That priest is also gone or we would still have the bathtub. He got called up to active duty in the National Guard which is what he wanted.
After Mass this week the new priest said "I guess you noticed that the bathtub is gone" and before he could go any futher everybody started clapping.

I thought ordained deacons could distribute the Holy Eucharist prior to VII.
