St. Vibiana's is very beautiful. One of the reasons Mahoney gave for not repairing it was that it was too small. If you think the new cathedral is ugly in pictures, you ought to try seeing it in person. I drive by it almost everyday. It is hideous.

Unfortunately, many of Mahoney's flock are poor, undereducated immigrants (both legal and illegal) and refuse to question or raise a stink about anything. He could say he was buying himself a fleet of Rolls Royce's, and they would just nod in approval.

Have you ever been inside? I'm sure there are others than myself on this forum, who will not likely ever see the place, and who would appreciate a first-hand account of the inside appearance, from one of 'our own'.

AB, I am no longer a practicing Catholic. Those that I do know that have been inside say that it is very cold and sterile looking. That breaks my heart, because I remember as a child, the old churches back east, that were filled with stained glass and beautiful statues.

I'm the idiot. Male adolescent behaviour belongs to teenagers, not men. When men revert to this, they are idiots. (I think I just made a great discovery here...)

As far as curves are concerned, I would just point out that "Grace builds on nature" (as do glass bras I suppose heehee (see above)). I respect that.

P.S. I like music too! In fact I just bought a polyphony CD a couple of hours ago. So I'll be good and nice!
