1. Why don't YOU look up "harem" and do a little study on what life in a real "Harem" was like. There was a very good documentary on the History Channel a week or so ago; look it up on their website.

2. Get it through your thick, bigoted skull that what is going on in the "polygamy" colonies in Utah and Arizona bears ABSOLUTELY NO RESEMBLANCE to "life in Utah during the plural marriage days."

It is the abject ignorance--celebrated ignorance--of people such as yourself that convinces me your "concern" is a sham.

Tapestry of Polygamy (check them out if you can get past your prejudices) helps women (girls really: married at 11 or 12 then kept pregnant) with little education, no family support (blood atonement is still openly practiced in the polyg communities) and saddest of all, no help at all from the LDS. The last is really bothersome since polygamy was legitimized by JS and is the doppleganger of his modern successors.
