It always amazes me when people say they have found a "Church Home" where there is truly a sense of fellowship with there congreagtion.
As a bible believing chrisitian most of my life, I was baptized in the Lutheran Church. I studied with the Jehovah Witnesses when I was a child, found that faith to be in-sensitive and shallow to there congregations.
As I grew older I have spent many years trying to find a church that had a congregation that would welcome new-comers with how I percieved "Jesus" to welcome his followers. A hard task to accomplish.
As a native Californian, I have also lived for a time in Dallas Texas and Jacksonville Florida. I have found the south to be the most un-friendliest to church new-comers, I attended a Baptist, Catholic, Greek Orthodox and Lutheran Church. None of these churches reached out to the New-Comers with open arms. The Catholic church in the south seemed to have the coldest shoulder to new-comers, and for the 8 months I attended that church I never met anyone with the exception of a nod from the congregation walking in and out of church.
Returning to California I have started attending a non-denominational christian church and I have found some warmth with this congregation. This is a contemporary church which is geered twoards families with teenagers. (Due to the christian loud rock music they play) the music is great, but I do not have any teenage children and even though I am married I attend church alone because my husband does not like organized religion.
I am going to try and attend a Messianic congregation, as I believe there is quite alot of Jewishness biblical information and spirituality I need to know regarding my christian faith.

Find somewhere where people still love the Old Testament and haven't thrown out the 4th commandment. Observe Sabbath, Biblical feast days, and eat the way God wants you to. This is how the early believers worshipped before the hellenized pagan influence took over after the apostles died off. (this takeover had already begun in Paul's time as Paul mentioned to Timothy)

First of all we don't call it "church", "circe", the daughter of a pagan goddess. Secondly, we're quite comfortable worshipping the Messiah not as a pagan man/god. Thanx for asking.
This coming from one who espouses the false doctrine of Calvinism. Cheap grace. Break the commandments of God (4th one especially) and its ok. We're forgiven.
