I have always preferred the book to the movie. More so with V.

Yeah. As I've said before, whatever my other problems with the Movie (which I'd still give a 7, maybe 7.5 -- but not the Book's "perfect 10")....

....all would have been (mostly) forgiven the Wachowski brothers if they simply would have transcribed the "Good Evening, London" Speech directly from the Book.

Oh, well.

I did like their "V" soliloquy though. Not that I think it should have been used where they did.

There was a sense of violence they removed from the movie that made it seem too "super hero"-ish. They removed a lot of the underlying philosophy, although... for the MTV generation, it might have flopped had they left it in.

They should have left in at least ONE of V's dissertations on what "real" anarchy means. It was the point of the whole movie after all... Not just "fight against tyranny".

Wolfie couldn't believe it. He thought it had to be pledges, not actual donations.

RP doesn't take pledges. He takes checks and credit cards.
