Yeah!
And since it doesn't exist, tehy can't kick us out of hiding either.
Of course, that'd be a REALLY surreal exchange.
"Just WHAT do you two THINK you are doing?"
We're hiding, from her. Look!
"Uh-huh. Get Out!"
We can't, this place doesn't exist, ergo, we cannot get out.
"Guards!"
Shush! You'll give us away!

Thanks for the info and pics! They were really good.
I've read that the Ju-88s were some of the best night-fighters in the Luftwaffe arsenal. I will FR-mail some links I've found tommorrow.
To: Valin
You don't really believe that do you?Not a chance! LOL.

As the air war raged over Berlin and other German cities, nightfighter units such as NJG 100, the original Eastern Front night fighter Geschwader, were redeployed nearer home in the final desperate defense of Germany. By late 1944 the Luftwaffe's night fighting aircraft were being flown by experienced crews using sophisticated electronic equipment and, though fighting a losing battle, had become the scourge of the RAF's night raiders.
A Junkers Ju 88 G-6, piloted by Major Paul Zorner, Gruppenkommandeur III./NJG 100, based at Stubendorf, intercepts and badly damages a four-engine Lancaster of RAF Bomber Command over Germany in late 1944. Shedding debris and trailing flames, there may just be time for the crew to bale out before the mighty bomber falls away into the dark abyss.
With the aid of his FuG 220 and upward-firing Schrage Musik armament, Zorner has stalked his prey, and attacked from beneath unseen. The crew of this Lancaster didn't stand a chance, and with the moonlight briefly glinting on his aircraft, the accomplished Ju88 pilot slips away into the darkness of the night.

Goodness! Are you always on FR? (;-)
I recall reading that attacking from beneath was one of the most effective night-fighter tactics.
To: Central_Floridian
Goodness! Are you always on FR? (;-)I've been know to hang out here every so often.. ;-)Yeah, you could get in close and take them by surprise with little chance for the bomber to shoot back.

That it was, in some opinions.
Though later in the war Germany fielded some odd aircraft.
Like the Natter rocket interceptor.
And the Gotha/ Horten 10.
Thankfully, the Gotha wasn't fielded in meaningful enough numbers.
