On observation from something said on the last thread:
Isn't it odd that Christians believe in a God who is Jewish?

Sounds like you need to pray another rosary. ;o) Why do you think I find special meaning with that contemplation? I need some work in that area. Participating in these threads should help but I don't know. Maybe its time to go into lurker mode. I'll have to pray on it.

Look at all the instances that Jesus prayed Look at all the occasions Jesus was in the synagogue. As a Jew, he would have participated in the worship liturgy. Which involved the recitation of standard prayers.

Is everyone with an Italian surname connected to organized crime? Hey, I resent that! I don't have any close family in the mafia.

Sounds pretty minor to me ... and pretty common. Ever had trouble falling asleep and couldn't figure out why? If so, did you pray about it? And did it help?
Was I making a big deal out of it? I merely directed to the url. And threw in a "wow". Did the article not deserve a "wow"?

De Montfort 10128. Mary has authority over the angels and the blessed in heaven.(says who?) As a reward for her great humility, God gave her the power and the mission of assigning to saints the thrones made vacant by the apostate angels who fell away through pride.(where does it say this?) Such is the will of almighty God (Not in His Word) who exalts the humble, that the powers of heaven, earth and hell, willingly or unwillingly, must obey the commands of the humble Virgin Mary.(sounds godlike) For God has made her queen of heaven and earth, leader of his armies, keeper of his treasures, dispenser of his graces, worker of his wonders, restorer of the human race, mediatrix on behalf of men, destroyer of his enemies, and faithful associate in his great works and triumphs.(Look at all of these titles)
My favorite title is Queen of Heaven. Satan really laughs at that one since He has used it before. It takes quite an aversion to the Word of God to use this title knowing that it is a title for a false god.

The Queen of Heaven forgives you.

That's a comfort.

angelo, how do you as a Jew view the Historian, Josephus, and is it true that what we Christians read on his comments about Jesus and James the Just, are not in the original writings, and that they were interpolated after the year 300, by Eusebius and Origen?
What is your take on all of this?

Neither do I! You don't know how much I am annoyed by that stereotype. FYI, I am 3/4 Italian (RC) and 1/4 Russian (Jewish). Many Italians (in Italy and Americans of Italian origin) have an attitude that if others believe such nonsense, then it isn't worth the time or energy to straighten them out or set the record straight. They persevered and have disproven other nasty stereotypes, but that one is particularly stubborn. I think there are pros and cons to this point-of-view.

Which involved the recitation of standard prayers.Actually I'm pretty one track:) When writing my replies, I was thinking of the rosary. But since you said this, are these standard prayers in the bible somewhere. I somehow thought there was a procedure followed, but I did not know there were standard prayers.
Our church follows a procedure, we have an opening prayer, but it is not a STANDARD prayer. It is usually always asking God to guide us in understanding his word during the service, but whoever is called upon to pray aloud, words it his own way.
