This thread began in the summer of 2001 when a core group of aggrieved refugees set sail from their old home and washed ashore here at Free Republic, the Ellis Island of cyberspace for those who truly cherish the Constitution. But what began as a mere port-of-entry has since evolved, thanks to the hands extended by so many veteran FReepers, into a true FRiendship Society. Yet immigrants everywhere must soon find a niche from which to develop as citizens. And so it seems only natural that we of 'the exodus' should build upon our initial welcome by announcing the grand opening of the: 'FReeoples Bar & Grill' ! We hope it to be an informal kind of place where all those with a dedication to our Nation's founding principles may feel free to pull up a chair, meet their friends, spit on the mat, call the kat a bastard, conspire on new projects, compare notes on goings on, and just generally unwind from their respective days in the trenches. All we ask is that, at least once per quarter, you generously tip our landlord, Mr. Robinson.

Hey there Honey Bun .. I'd have a drink .. but sadly .. I'm still on duty ..
Just thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing .. glad to see spirits are picking up .. like I said .. give it time .. all will work out .. whatever it maybe ..
Well I'm off to check the Freepathon out .. not sure I can make back tonight .. But I sure will try .. Jessie didn't have any homework .. but Mom sure does .. oh I hate the begining of school .. forms to fill out .. more forms to fill out .. books .. LOT'S of books to cover .. and other stuff .. Jessie wants to join the Choir this year .. I really don't mind if they don't .. they girl isn't that great of a singer .. fofl
