NOW, IT'S OUR TURN

REVENGE.

Hold on to that thought.

Go to bed thinking it. Wake up chanting it.

Because nothing less than revenge is called for today.

Give this to our enemies: it was a brilliant, coordinated attack. The targets were icons of America's might: the World Trade Center, which sits in the financial heart of the United States, and the Pentagon, the headquarters of our military. The weapons used were our airliners, filled with our fellow countrymen who, at knife point, were made part of the payload.

The image of United Flight 175 slamming into the World Trade Center will stay in our nightmares and the nightmares of our children. The knowledge that our fellow citizens jumped to their deaths rather than burn in the twin towers will haunt us. The smell of the fires from the Pentagon will linger long after the smoke clears. And the grief for our dead will be deep and enduring.

But give this to us, the people of the United States: We will recover. We will bury our dead and then, with unwavering resolve, we will go after the villains.

We will demand nothing less than a full and deadly response. We have been merciful in the past with the terrorist thugs who have attacked this country. We have condemned them and imposed economic sanctions, but we have not hunted them down with murder in our eyes.

Yesterday's attacks, however, amount to a declaration of war against the United States, a sneak attack even more devastating than the one on Pearl Harbor 50 years ago. At least the Japanese were honorable enough to attack a military target. This time, our enemies went after civilians, among them children.

In war, there are casualties. We had our number yesterday. It is time to inflict casualties of our own. And it shouldn't be "proportional" or just enough to send a "message." Our response should be the final word.

To the cowardly zealots responsible, know this: Do not judge our commitment to your destruction by the strangely careful and neutral tone of President Bush's speech last night. His speech did not begin to capture the righteous anger American citizens are feeling right now.

In the days that are coming, as the dead are finally counted, our rage will only build. And everytime we look at the skyline of New York City, or step into an airplane, or turn our calendars to nine, one-one, we will remember your actions, and crave only one thing: blood for blood.

Yesterday belonged to you. You hurt us the way you had hoped.

But tomorrow will belong to us. *

I have neighbors of the middle eastern persuasion, and they were celebrating in their apartment down the hall. It was all I could do, to not go over there. I am waiting for the next attack. It's going to come, I'd wager. Before it does, I hope that our country makes an example out of these people who did this. We've made an example out of Japan once, I'd say let's give these people a refresher.

Keep this documented. When the FBI comes to round up these bastards, they will be fortunate if the only thing that happens is deportation. Nothing grinds me more that someone milking the generosity of a host nation while cheering their suffering.

I could not believe the woman who just called C-SPAN to say that she hopes we don't retailate with violence but only study what it is that people hate about us and change our ways! It's this lack of moral fiber and pride in our country that has caused us to be seen as the weak opponent our enemies see. WE MUST SHOW STRENGTH and make those DemocRATS understand that national defense is the ONLY role of the Federal Government. Noone else CAN provide it. I want them to take all the touchy-feely welfare, housing, child-care $'s which should be the responsibility of the people not the Government, put it all in defense and missile shields, rockets, guns, bombs, spies, intelligence and protect the people from the evil trying to kill us! This attack would not have been successful had we continued with the buildup and strong intelligence we had before the Creepy, Corrupt, Clinton Era!

They may have hit and destroyed two office buildings full of people. And they may have damaged the nerve center of our Defense Department. They may think that these are the symbols of America - one a testament to capitalism and the other a symbol of our military strength.

But they didn't hit the true symbol of America - our churches.

"I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good. And if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great." -- Alexis deTocqueville

Don't worry, I am. I am so frigging mad that if I did anything I'd be charged with a hate crime. Not to mention the fact I'm a big bald white angry male.

I can't find words foul enough to express what I'm feeling. Why is it that we have to get permission from the rest of the world to take care of our problems? Screw the UN, and the rest of the world, let's test out our new Nukes on these countries. Let's show those people the real meaning of holy war, and what genocide is.

I've predicted that this is the tip of the iceberg. I'd wager that this is being staged as a precursor to a real war. Afghanistan is being bombed by someone, and nobody knows who it is. Call me crazy, but what good is intelligence when nobody knows the answers? Surely someone knows. I think we'll retaliate swift, and mighty. Then around Christmas, we'll get another attack in rebuttal.

How do I know this? This morning I looked up at the sky. Saw the moon, and the planet Venus in close proximity. Then I thought about the old Nostradamus prediction about the 3rd world war and the middle eastern anti-christ. Yeah, it's coming, unless we decimate the entire region.

Nonsense. By all means do judge us by the President's tone. In fact, carry on with business as usual.

I grieve for the firefighters who lost their lives. Whatever differences you and I had, let us forget those and unite to work for a better nation, and for vengence.

Let's put an ENORMOUS bounty on the head of bin Laden. THEN we'll see how many friends he has. Those bastards will sell out their own if the price is right. Hell - I'll send back that $600.00 tax rebate to put it towards a bounty for this son of a bitch. If 200 million people send back their refunds, that's over 1 billion dollars bounty.

I am sooooo PISSED OFF! Kill them all - now - fast - make a statement!

Just heard Colin Powell talking about an all out war on all fronts - a phrase which turned out to be nothing more for him than a euphemism for increased law enforcement effort domestically, more cooperation with allies and sharing of security info, etc, ad nauseum. He intimated that a quick military strike by itself would be the cowards way out or some such (not his exact words but you catch the drift).

It is very likely that in addition to the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon, the White House and the Capitol could have been hit. In that scenario, would the fact we didn't know the exact culprit be in any way an acceptable excuse for delaying a devasting military strike somewhere? Is it an acceptable excuse now?

Every country on the face of the globe is pledging their support to us now (including Russia and Cuba, for example). No matter what we do now, if we do it quickly, it seems likely to be acceptable to the world community. The longer we wait the quicker that world support is likely to diminish.

With all due apologies to peace-loving Muslims (who should have done something about this problem before now), I still say a strike on Mecca or Medina is called for, with advance warning, unless the Muslim world is able to turn over an extremely comprehensive list of Islamic terrorist sites around the globe.

I probably don't know what the Hell I'm talking about, but it never stopped anybody else in this forum.

Let's all pray that Bush and our military leaders have wisdom.

Get your tinfoil out, down a few grains of salt and surf on over: Nostradamus and the Antichrist. An interesting read, though. How they manage to tie in Atlantis, ETs, AI, and WWIII is really something.
