Fire Jennings Now!

Why is Peter Jennings still on the air?? After yesterday's performance, Jennings needs to be fired and fired now! He questions Bush's mental stability, question Bush about not making a statement earlier, and covers for the celebrations of the Palestinians. In the whole scheme of things, this is really meaningless, but still we don't need an anti-American broadcaster for our national news. Shoot, even Democrats can show patriotism at a time like this.

I agree 100% -- BTW isn't Jennings actually Canadian? Maybe it explains his utter lack of patriotic duty...

Peter Jennings acts like a traitor.
Like many stations, he refused to show the Arabs cheering the deaths in America.

So, how do we protest? Call the local affiliates.

Jennings was in rare form yesterday. I don't know where his head was, but he was in political mode when he should have been in crisis mode. Truly pathetic.
On a surprising note, I flipped all the channels yesterday and IMHO the best anchor, hands down, was none other than the commie bastard Dan Rather.
After the incredibly pathetic performance early on by Bryant Gumbel (where he was reading every rumor and actually trying to guess the death count...at 10:00 am EST...and actually said "they are evacusting the Sears Tower in Chicago" and leaving out the ever important phrase "for precautionary reasons"), Dan Rather came in and basically bitch slapped Gumbel (not by name) by saying that everything is speculative and that we do not know very much about what has happenned, who is responsible, etc. Under his watch, CBS news was the only station not to broadcast the fires in Kabul, and he even refuted the claim that it was an American act. He was very careful to point out the differences between confirmed info and speculative.
Sometimes you have to give the devil his due, I guess.

Oh, it wasn't intended as an excuse, trust me.

You are right...WRITE TO THE SPONSORS because the arrogant liberals who run ABD will NOT listen.

Flipping this morning when I caught Diane Sawyer doing apologetics for Bin Laden. It went something like this..."In defense of Bin Laden, claims have been made that he was not involved...He normally likes to advertise before committing such an act...." Just caught a brief portion of it, and they may have been hammering him before I saw this, but it looks like Jennings isn't the only one that needs to be fired. Of course, liberals always have to add their "disclaimers" after bashing someone. Wouldn't be politically correct otherwise.....

I thought Brit did well, but I don't think Fox was as well prepared for Crisis coverage as the other networks. I am sure it has to do with fact that the other networks have been throught this many times before and Fox is still a bit of a youngster.

Sometimes you have to give the devil his due, I guess. I couldn't bear to watch "Captain Dan", so I missed that. I guess Rather is, for better and worse, still in the Walter Kronkite mold -- most of the time, that means pushing a political agenda, but when real news is happening, the professionalism kicks in....

It was his faith in the socialist ideas coming out his mouth.

Peter Jennings is a socialist who hates any conservative.I am going to watch his regular scheduled News tonight and make a list of sponsers. Then I am going to write letters explaining why I will not buy or consider buying thier products until no more Jennings on the air.
Its time to face up to the fact that we are at War and we have to all join the fight.

Apparently Jennings also said something on the lines of "At least we can understand now how the Arabs feel." My cousin told me this.

ABC - NEW YORK - Main Station Number - 212.456.1000
Yesterday, all you could get them to do was switch you to the comment line. You can leave a message there.
Yesterday, I called the local ABC affilate, KTRK-TV, in Houston and the lady I talked to said they were "Jennings was horrible, but they could do nothing about it. And that they were shocked at the number of complaints they were receiving about Jennings".
