This is mind-boggling - first that there are so many of them, second that they are determined to try even in the face of the greatly hightened security.

Question is - is that new security up to it? One has to wonder - in addition, if another suicide team does get through and another airliner gets taken over - what will happen then?

All these people arrested and Allan Dershowitz has not rushed in to represent a single one. What's going on?

My guess is these animals are seeing TV reports of arrests all over the world, and believe they can't hide out any longer (also assuming their comrades might be singing under interrogation). And, they would be shamed to return back home as failures - so, they have no choice but to go ahead and try. My guess. Who knows - I'm just thankful to God they are being caught.

In that situation, the passengers WILL NOT be moving to the back of the plane as told. 3 or 4 hijackers will be taken down by the passengers and crew.

For the past few decades there was an unwritten code between hijackers and hostages: If you do as the hijackers say, you won't be harmed. That code vanished on Tuesday.

You make a very valid point --- about the future being VERY difficult for highjackers...
They will have to become far more violent and much better armed - to subdue a plane load of people that KNOW they will die if they DON'T resist.

Reporter was Pierre Thomas. When he came back on a few minutes ago, he did not repeat the Miami story. FWIW, I've looked but haven't found any other source to confirm.
