Thank God Bush found his voice and gave a brilliant speech at the National Cathedral.

Superb. 5 x 5. Home run.
Thank you, President Bush.

Yes, and when "The Battle Hymn of The Republic" was sung, tears were streaming down my face...NEVER has that song held so much meaning for me.

In a nod to the lamestream media sickophants who are only concerned with "camera presence", eloquence and other issues of style over substance...
Did anyone else conclude that W does much better with paper/notes in fron of him rather than a prompter?
To: Bombard
Bush ended the speech with "God bless America".
It looked like the US Navy Choir came up next. The choir (in dress whites) sang "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". There were many tears in the Cathedral. I also shed a few...

Was a good speech. Loved the choice of music, "Battle Hymn of the Republic."

Bill Clinton is pulling a "Ron Brown Funeral" scam right now! He found some cameras and is now crying.

I cried twice during the ceremony... when that beautiful lady sang and I saw President Bush begin to cry, and when President Bush finished his speech.
The right man was put in the position of leading us, and leading the world.

It was a great speech (the best I have ever heard him give; no slips, no mispronunciations, no hesitations, a nice cadence and tone, and beautiful words.
Some other observations I had about the service:
- I have never before Billy Graham speak and not make reference to mercy, at least to my recollection.
- Clinton looked oddly lacking in his usual teary pathos.
- It was an interesting choice of song for the hymn, "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Great song, but with a poignant message. There is work to be done.

President George Bush's speech was awesome. Billy Graham's speech was magnificent. The "Battle Hymn of the Republic" at the end was so right.
