These terrorists had "aid and comfort" from residents of the United States. The FBI should be looking at the actions of these people as well. Anyone who knowingly furthered the actions of the terrorists should be tried for treason.

CLINTON DEFINED!

No kidding. Makes you wonder why we have some of these laws on the books, doesn't it? You can get punished more severely for selling a beer to a minor than for giving nuclear technology to China.

Well, that would likely include not only the last sorry excuse for a president, Clinton, but also his wife and most of the democrat party. They accepted a lot of campaign money and other gifts from groups supporting Arab terrorism. And then there was Hillary's kiss, certainly symbolic support for everything Arafat and his thugs stand for.

How about forwarding this to the two lunkheads representing Massachusetts?

This is why it is critical to declare war: this war will largely be battled ON U.S. SOIL, as we ferret out the sleeper agent terrorists.
It is time for the loyal moslem arab Americans to state loudly their loyalty to the USA ABOVE ALL OTHERS, and to do more, to prove it in deeds.
We are now shifting from peacetime rules to wartime rules, and the battlefield is HERE. So please spare me everyone your bleatings about the poor arab moslems' civil liberties, this is WAR.
Many of them are not even citizens, but have merely snuck into our free and open society, and bear us only hatred. The fine and loyal arab moslems Americans must now help to ROOT THEM OUT.
Am I being unfair? I don't think so: this is now WAR on "Battlefield USA". We must fight to win.
Let me point out to any who have missed this fact: Before the first WTC bombing, mosques and "cultural centers" in NYC were used as safehouses, agent meeting places, and dead drops. This is a fact, look it up. Prior to this state of war, our FBI was hamstrung by the ACLU and CAIR etc and were unable to properly monitor these nests of vipers in NYC, and we saw the results. Now we are moving to WARTIME rules of engagement, and mosques and "cultural centers" must not be permitted to give unquestioned sanctuary to terrorists and their support agents. Good loyal patriotic moslem arab Americans can and must help to identify and root out any jihadists among them. If they fail to do this, their loyalties must be suspected. Too bad, it's WAR.
It is now time for all good loyal patriotic arab moslem Americans to do their duty, and report their suspicions or knowledge to the FBI, so that they may begin investigating possible terrorists or terrorist support agents ASAP. If they fail to do this DUTY, then shame on them, and do not expect to win sympathy with crocodile tears later on.

No argument here about the Clintons and the 'Rats!
But what I'm really pointing to is those who provided safe houses and funds to the terrorists. The sympathizers. The Fifth Column.

If that law wasn't invoked against Jane Fonda it shouldn't be invoked against anyone. Unless, of course, you believe in selective prosecution.

Is there a statute of limitations on this? I wouldn't be averse to going back 30 years and pressing charges...

Anyone who knowingly furthered the actions of the terrorists should be tried for treason. But only if they took some sort of oath of allegiance to the United States. Do you have to take an oath like that to get into this country with a visa? Illegal immigrants definitely cannot be tried for treason, but can be shot as spies.

Probably there are those who more deserved to be charged with treason than Aaron Burr. The problem is getting those witnesses.

This sorry excuse for a declarion of war may well pass, but it will soon be replaced. There is always the possiblity that Congress doesn't want to tip our hand about just where and who we intend to strike. But if this is just the result of more "bipartisan negotiation", the next civilian body count will ensure that the public will demand a real declaration.
