ANTI-AMERICAN MEDIA MUST BE STOPPED! (FREEP ALERT)
Media Research Center ^ | 9/17/01

Posted on 09/17/2001 7:44:38 PM PDT by Elkiejg

ISSUE: According to the Media Research Center (www.mediaresearch.org), major media, including the Washington Post and ABC News, have launched a full-scale spin war against President Bush following the attack on our nation.

Newsmax.com reports that already, liberal media outlets have been raising questions about President Bush's taking a circuitous route back to Washington from Florida after being informed of Tuesday's terrorism.

Liberal columnist Mary McGrory, in Thursday's Washington Post, stated that George W. Bush "could not find the beat... He allowed himself to be hauled about the country like a fugitive to bunkers at Air Force bases in Louisiana and Nebraska." She proclaimed that Bush "flunked" this country's test: "he says he believes in education and he has three years to take a makeup exam in leadership."

In an exchange on ABC TV between correspondent Claire Shipman and anchor Peter Jennings on Wednesday night, Shipman implied that the White House is "eager" to put forth the report that the White House and Air Force One were targeted in order to divert attention from President Bush's "spend[ing] his day yesterday flying around the country instead of coming straight back to Washington." Jennings noted "we're all pretty skeptical and cynical about Washington."

Tom Brokaw, interviewing Gen. Schwarzkopf, implied that the Bush administration was negligent in not getting actively involved in the Mideast peace process while all the violence was going on.

And Dan Rather introduced President Bush before he addressed the nation in the middle of this emergency by saying, "No matter how you feel about him, he is still our president."

There are others as well: Newsweek's Howard Fineman moaned about Bush's flight on Air Force One and criticized him for not winning the popular vote; Newsday's Ellis Henican, asking if we "have a president too nervous to work live"; Maureen Dowd at the NY Times, complaining that reporters "weren't sure where the president was"; and ABC's Mark Halperin insisted that, if reporters aren't informed of every little detail of this war, they aren't "likely - nor should they be expected - to show such deference for long."

As Newsmax.com stated, "even in time of crisis when Americans are rallying around the President of the United States, cheap-shot politics seems to live on in some quarters."

ACTION ITEM: Patriotic Americans are supporting President Bush ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. It's time we let the liberal media and their talking heads know that.

Contact the major media outlets NOW and let them know how outraged we are that they would engage in such cheap-shot politics against the leader of the free world, at a time when we need to stand by his leadership. You can email all of them at once at our contact center for FREE:

http://contact.sixtysecondactivist.com/

Please forward this email to everyone you know that is outraged at the liberal media's partisan political attacks on President Bush. Thank you.

If you'd like to contact the media using your own email program or postal mail, feel free to use the sample letter below:

Dear Media Outlet,

I am outraged that the likes of Mary McGrory, Peter Jennings, Claire Shipman, Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather and others are engaging in cheap-shot politics against the leader of the free world, at a time when we need to stand by his leadership.

Comments on ABC, CBS, NBC, in the Washington Post, Newsweek, Newsday and others venting vile anti-Bush hatred are despicable. I will turn the channel and refuse to buy such garbage until "reporters" there change their tune and back President Bush as he leads our nation against the cowards who attacked us.

We don't need our leader attacked from within. Stop your partisan political attacks NOW. Decency demands it.

Sincerely,

I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!! I've cried for a week, as I'm sure many of you have.....but have been so proud of our rescue heros AND our PRESIDENT. I'm fed up with the limosine liberals who think they have the right to say whatever they want even when they are so out of step with the country it's pathetic.

I may not be able to help clear the disaster areas, or search for the missing, or sign up to fight in the coming war - but I sure as Hell can do something EVERY day to drive these anti-Americans out of my life. I hope all Freepers and true Americans will help.

I wouldn't worry about these people. The American people are solidly behind the President, and these liberals just are besides themeselves.

Thanks Elkiejg for this post - I could not resist using the link! LOL - I gave 'em hell. I sent this:
Everyone knows the radical-leftist bent of major media - and recent events have seen that displayed in no uncertain terms. It is the reason major media outlets suffer economically, and the reason Fox news prospers.

In my view, leftist media at all major networks, and print outlets such as the Washington Post, New York Times, Newsday and others are displaying anti-American aide and comfort to the enemies of this nation. I no longer will tune-in, or support such activity in any way financially.

Meanwhile, it is obvious that CBS, ABC, NBC and CNN plan to continue radical leftist propaganda, vile partisan political attacks and further demean the current President at every opportunity - while openly whining and crying about Clinton, their idol, not being present.

I hope major media continues this - please. Your demise is only hastened by it, and that can not come soon enough for me. By all means - find more idiots and please, please put them on!

Of course - it will be ignored - but I had fun writing it.

Just remember: those people are peasants. Look at how they rallied around King Josef in 1939 when he put them in their place [Molotov-von Ribbentrop Pact].

And remember this, too: A peasant always despises the freeman. By his way of 'thinking,' a free person is someone that isn't worth protecting by the Lord or King.

We need to conduct a Jihad or holy war against this
politically correct media.

Cry Havoc, and let slip the Dogs of War;
That this Foul Deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.

My message to these New World Order media, owned by the international money manipulators and operated for THEIR agrandizement--not to keep Americans informed: LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS!!!

It is, quite simply, not the job of the media to act as a mouthpiece or propaganda rag for the government. The words of government spokesmen, especially in "wartime" should be held in suspicion, and a certain skepticism and lack of "rah rah" cheering from the media is something I want to see.

The words of our president and other political and military leaders will be broadcast to us live and non-stop in support of any wartime action no matter what happens. We can take this as a given. We should welcome less enthusiastic views on the airwaves-- this is a privlidge that we shouldn't take for granted. My suspicion is that everyone is going to be so afraid of seeming "unpatriotic"-- much like french revolutionaries fearful of appearing "moderate"-- that we'll never hear anything but the government's words repeated to us, verbatim.

The pictures and events of 9-11 are immune to propaganda. They are spin-proof and make one loud clear statement. What ever is said subsequent to that is background noise.

Perhpas it's time we took up a collection for another Washington Times Ad - I envision a picture of Bennedict Arnold with a caption "Traitor - 1779" and Pictures of the current crop of traitors and the quotes attributed to them. Who's up for it?

Rather broke down on Letterman twice and stated that wherever Bush wants him to go, he will.

If he was truly sincere, the tide is definately turning.

BLAME THE LIBERAL MEDIA FOR THIS AS WELL!!

FIVE THOUSAND LOST THEIR LIVES FOR THE WANT OF TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS.

Israel Airlines bolts the Cockpit door and all Pilots and copilots carry Firearms.

New Release

Ponder for a moment.

We trust a pilot with a 30 million-dollar plane knowledgeable of complex airplane functions, but government policy will not allow them to operate a simple firearm.

I’LL FLY AGAIN WHEN PILOTS ARE ARMED.

Israel Airlines bolts the Cockpit door and all Pilots and copilots carry Firearms.

Scanning the websites this week the following thread from Pilots, Law Enforcement, and American Citizens discuss ways to take positive action against air terrorism.

We trust a fancy security question (Thanks to Jim Kallstom, former FBI, did you pack your bags?) but not millions of active and retired law enforcement officers to Citizen Carry on an airplane.

May I rant for a second! Get these liberal, antigun activists out of our government decision making process. Consider, Israel Airlines policy is to bolt the door, arms it pilots, and has armed travelers in the cabin.

We allow lowly-paid gate-guards to gate dis-arm us, creating a "killing zone of disarmed citizens", as passingers "do battle" in the sky with terrorists, using passion for weapons because misguided government policy has left us defenseless.

The government can not protect you when the terrorist is eyeball to eyeball with you. Now they have ban my pocketknife used to clean my nails. What next, bottles, because they can be smashed for a weapon??

Most all of the former military pilots strapped firearms to their legs when on active duty. Today they are considered not capable, wear the wrong uniform, or untrust worthy.

This BS about putting a 9mm hole in the skin of an airplane will bring it down is more rhetoric and fiction than fact. Just ask the thousand of airmen who returned from flights over Germany in WWII. How about the 747 over Hawaii with a 20-foot hole in the side. Still got a problem with possible decompression? Consider the alternative!

I’ll trust anyday my life to any active or retired law enforcement officer to CITIZEN CARRY on any airline.

I’ll trust anyday my life to any pilot or copilot active or retired to carry on any airline.

I’ll trust any American citizen willing to CITIZEN CARRY after extensive training to carry on any airline. It is a huge responsibility, however, the current "Killing Zones" set up by faulty thinking is killing our husbands, wives, children, and our nation.

I am sure thousands perhaps millions of American’s would trust their life to armed pilots, copilots, air crew members, retired, policemen, FBI, CIA, ATF, or American Citizens willing to train, quality, and stay current with cabin safety issues keeping America airlines safe.

I personally trust all of the above personnel, rather than phony security questions, low-pay air guards, unlocked backdoor food and cleaning functions or gates at airports, or government officials with big titles.

WHO DO YOU TRUST THE GOVERNMENT? OR DO YOU TRUST HONEST AMERICAN CITIZENS WHO LIVE AND BREATH FAMILY SAFETY WHEN TRAVELING?

What do you want in your cockpit, a pilot and copilot with a firearm, or a terrorist? 2,180 dollars (four colt pistols)would have prevented all four terrorist acts and saved five thousand lives.

Government will spend billions of dollars with highly visible, and breach-able security that irritates American citizens during check-in when other more effective obvious solutions exist. Just ask Israel.

Thousands of American veterans, retired LEO's and American Citzens want to sign up today to fight terrorism. Don't tell them they are unqualified. If you do tell them they are unqualifed, they may have a word or two for you.

Visit keepandbeararms.com to carry the fight.
