That is an awful lot of foreign nationals! (what the heck were so many people from the Philippines doing there?)

I count well over 2000 foreigners missing. Does this seem reasonable?

Dying.

After this long... unless in a sub-basement with a kitchen... dead.

I can't help with the Philippines, but something isn't right with the list. Clearly there were many Indian nationals working in the WTC, clearly visible on many visits of mine there. I guess the list is probably incomplete.

And nobody from France listed either.
Either this list is very wrong - or the total dead will be closer to 8,000 than 5 or 6,000.

Total from this chart is approximately 2150. Almost half the people killed were from other countries? I don't know if I believe this chart. It's interesting that the chart is missing the U.S. flag and U.S. count.

It probably does - it's the WORLD trade center after all, with lots of shipping companies. Also the staff of the investment banks tends to be very international.

You are right, on a second look there are a number of countries missing I would have expected to see. I hope your conjecture with the higher number of victims is incorrect, and I guess hope and wait is all we can do.
I read the German press on the web (to improve my German) and their number in the list fits with the reports I read in their newspapers.

In NYC the Filipino immigrant has become a mainstay of NYC's service industries. The small city that was the WTC needed many of these. As a teacher in Queens I can tell you that the number of Filipino chidren I teach has been increasing each year. Several of them I have not seen since last Tuesday. I hope this clears up your question. BTW go out to PNC Park tonight to show your solidarity. My Mets will be playing the game wearing the Caps of the FDNY and the NYPD.

The viewing area at the top of one of the towers could hold thousands of people, though that early in the morning it might not have been to busy.
Many of the companies in the towers were international and would bring their foreign employees for training.

The British number seems on the high side, based on what I've seen. Oddly enough, I read somewhere that this attack (statistically) was the worst attack against the British since World War II. Sounds strange, but after thinking about it I guess it's true.

One hope would be that many of the Filipinos are just unaccounted for, not actually missing in the bad sense of the word. Depending on their immigration status, they may be reluctant to report themselves to authorities or even their employers, now that the Feds are all over the place. Just a (hopeful) thought....

I like how the Netherlands are listed as "--" dead and "--" missing. Hell, can't the same be said of Iceland, Vatican City or even Mars for that matter?
To: pittsburgh gop guy
They seem to be counting only the people who worked at the WTC. Does anyone know how many visitors would have been there at the top in the restaurants, shops or in the elevators?

A thread yesterday said that Sarah Ferguson"s charity offices were in the tower. Her limo had just arrived for a large conference she had when the first plane hit. She was able to drive away, but no word on her employees and guests.

It's interesting that the chart is missing the U.S. flag and U.S. count.Hardly. It's an attempt to paint this as an "international incident", hence requiring an "international response".
Think globalism, the UN, etc.

hmmm...no Islamic nations represented...coincidence? Try again. Indonesia is the largest Islamic nation in the world & Egypt is also on the list. Did you not read the list before posting or are you that ignorant of other countries, religions, & peoples?
