DID BRIAN WILLIAMS JUST SUGGEST THAT THE WTC TERRORISTS WERE NOT COWARDS?

Thought I heard him suggest that attributing it supposedly to "others."

Well, someone who cares about his cause enough to die for it can hardly be called a coward. Dedicated, fanatical, even, but I have a hard time attaching the word cowards to the people who took over the airplanes.
To: TheTopRead
I heard William Bennett also state the same thing the other day.
He said "their not 'cowards'...their 'fanatics'".
I tend to agree with this...

Actually, he's right. Would you have the guts or motivation to fly a plane into a building, ending your life?
Moreover, these guys knew, five years ago, that they were going to do this.
That's not cowardice.
It's misguided and criminal, but it's ballsy.

Like the abortion crowd who disdains human life, the terrorists see nothing wrong with losing their own life. This is bravery?????????

Anybody who calls the front-line jihadist a coward doesn't know what the hell he's in for in this fight. Osama bin Laden = perfumed prince. Someone working for bin Laden who's willing to blow themselves up = not my first choice for someone I'd want to tangle with.

My dear brother and sister FReepers,
At this, of all times in my lifetime, I would like nothing more than to be able to read these threads and reply to them. I have much I would like to say.
BUT, I cannot!
Why?
Because I am trying hard to raise the finances needed to keep FreeRepublic up and running so that we can continue to share valuable information and respond to it.
I beg you, if you have not yet donated to FreeRepublic this quarter, do so now!
If you have already donated, THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU, please ping your friends, and FReep on...!
I realize you are giving to lots of Relief efforts and I encourage you to do so. But we need to help FR too. Where would we be right now without it?
If you have no money, please come and bump the Fundraiser Thread.
I would really like to reach our goal quickly so that I and the rest of the dedicated FReepers who are working the Fundraiser Threads can participate in what is undeniably the most important time in FreeRepublic's history.
WHERE WOULD YOU GET YOUR NEWS FROM IF FREEREPUBLIC WASN'T HERE?<--click here

A surprise attack on defenseless citizens is the act of a coward. What does dying for a cause have to do with anything? By this logic, the Columbine shooters could have claimed they hated schools, so shooting defenseless students was somehow the act of a brave man.
Fighting in a war against soldiers is one thing. Attacking and killing non-military people is quite another.

Not Fanatic, nor coward.. Just plain determined and focused. Which I am not.. We all have given up on God in this country. We allowed the fanatic groups to sway the public that prayer was bad in school and sucking the life out of the womb was the right thing to do. We are told to change things by way of the Law and the Court. But when the fanatics live in both houses how can one set things right.
I head a man chant this the other day..
Our flags fly high in the sky..
for the internal revenue service we must pay or die..
they tax away our liberty..
and teach our children it's democracy..
Profit?

"President Clinton, er, Former President Clinton...Brian Williams here at Ground Zero of what they may call the worst day in American history, that is to say, a day in history that will be bad, what say you on this holy day, that which they may call the holy day of Rosh Hashana about the 33%of the population that say, if given the choice, that is, if they were allowed to pick and choose, they would select you, the Former President of these United States, to lead us, the American People, out of this nightmare of epic proportions, that is to say that fully one third of the population would select the 42nd President of these United States to lead them out of this day they call one of the worst acts of brutality ever seen, that they may call a horrific act on a scale not yet seen in this part of the world, relegated to the crusty landscapes of the opposite side of the world, but in the same latitudes..."
"Welp, sorry Former President Clinton, we have run out of time, we need to go to the Pentagon and Jim Micklasehwski, what's goin' on Mick?"

I flipped over to PMSNBC from The Factor long enough to hear Brian Williams' interview with Jimmy Breslin. I got so enraged that I came in and fired off an email to him...it was the most disgusting piece of slop I've heard all week. Breslin was objecting to the use of the word "crusade" by the President and saying he was afraid no one in charge knew what was going on...My comments to the both of them are not printable here on the FR...

Many conservatives have made that statement, including Bill Bennett. They are fanatics and evil, but not cowards. They will give their lives to destroy Americans and our nation and they must be eliminated by any means necessary.

I have a hard time attaching the word cowards to the people who took over the airplanes.Yours is one of the more offensive and naive statements I've read this week.
Due to the perverse erotic teachings of the Koran (there are several references posted here on FR), these psychopathic Nancy-boys decided to pile into the WTC offices of Cantor Fitzgerald at 400 MPH - thereby macerating 700 defenseless civilians - simply so they could get some nookie in "Paradise."
What you don't understand is that these perverted Islamic suiciders would rather kill you, your family, and your entire damned neighborhood than to suffer the indignity of asking a girl (or as is insinuated in the "holy" Koran, a boy) for a date.
As they veered in on the WTC, this suicide squad of little Islamic wusses were completely revved-up by the vision of the imminent and unending sexual orgy with "bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches," (Koran 37:40-48) while "..round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness." (Koran 56:17).
They are much worse than mere cowards: they are murderous and unspeakably selfish perverts.

They were not cowards. They were cunning and ruthless. Precisely targeting our weaknesses. Calling them cowards only does us a disservice, causing us to discount and underestimate our enemy. Welcome to the world of Asynchronous Warfare. A world where David does challenge Goliath, but only because Goliath has tied his own hands behind his back for fear of upsetting liberals and their egalitarian ideals.
BTW Since there has been no strike as of yet, there will not be one of a magnitude sufficient to deter future acts of this kind. We are seeking coalitions with our enemies and therefore I believe the war has already been lost.
To: okie_tech
They are total cowards. Faceless cowards. Freaks.

Other things I don't want to hear anymore: This was a tragedy --- no it wasn't it was an atrocity.
America will never be the same --- Yes it will, or better.
We can't attack these guys, they might get mad and hurt us --- They can't hurt us after we kill them.
My government didn't protect me --- You've been voting for the wrong people sucker.
I'm so afraid --- of what? You're still 8 times as likely to die in your car.
Anybody else hear anything else that treatened the existence your TV set?
To: okie_tech
They were not cowards.Yes, they are the worst of cowards, and we need to kill them ASAP.
